Hi, I’m Ernan! With over 20 years of math tutoring experience and a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics, I specialize in helping students at the GCSE and A-level. Since 2000, I've tutored subjects from primary math to advanced topics like algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and calculus both in-person and online. I also teach other subjects including Biology, Physics, and Geography. My career also includes roles as a Game Mathematician and Slot Designer, where I developed mathematical models for slot games, as well as experience as a Software Engineer and Actuarial Assistant. Mein großer Vorteil ist es, dass ich durch Lebenserfahrung in den Vereinigten Staaten die Sprache authentisch, zeitgemäß und auch mit Spaß vermitteln kann, denn mit Freude lernt es sich nun einmal am besten! So ist es mir eine Herzensangelegenheit als angehende Lehrerin den Schüler*innen und Lernenden einen realitätsnahen Einblick in die englische Sprache zu geben und dies auch mit Hilfe von aktuellen Themen und interessensgebieten der Schüler*innen. Auch ist es mir wichtig, die Nachhilfeschüler*innen kennenzulernen, auf deren Interessen einzugehen und anhand von diesen die Freude an der Sprache wieder herzustellen und auch Erfolge zu erzielen und dies anhand von einem auf die Bedürfnisse der Lernenden angepassten Plan. Dieser Plan verfolgt das Ziel bestehende Lücken zu verkleinern und aufzuarbeiten und zugleich auch das aktuelle Unterrichtsgeschehen nachzuarbeiten. Deshalb würde ich mich sehr freuen, mit euch zusammen die Sprache zu erleben. Englisch gehörte tatsächlich einmal zu den Fächern, die ich nicht mochte, genau wie Deutsch und es waren letzten Endes meine Lehrer, die mir die Freude an den Sprachen vermittelt haben und so habe ich meine zehnte Klasse in Amerika verbracht und die Sprache weiter leben und lieben gelernt. Als ich wieder in Deutschland war, da war meine Begeisterung vollkommen entfacht, ich habe mein Abitur gemacht und mein Jura Studium begonnen, schnell jedoch bin ich zum Lehramt gegangen und studiere nun Deutsch und Englisch auf Lehramt. Ebenfalls unterrichte ich nun schon seit vielen Jahren die verschiedensten Nachhilfeschüler, von Anfängern bis hin zu Abiturvorbereitungen war alles dabei und meist, wenn der Schüler motiviert war, haben wir ein tolles Ergebnis erzielen können.

I utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials, including online resources, to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure that each student has the tools they need to succeed.
