As a Guidance Counselor, I had the privilege of supporting students' personal, academic, and social development. I facilitated individual and group counseling sessions, working closely with students to address their challenges and develop strategies for resilience and growth. My role also involved collaborating with parents and teachers to create tailored interventions that promoted the holistic development of each student. I am particularly passionate about fostering mental health awareness and empowering young individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. Currently, I apply my skills as an Online ESL Teacher, helping non-native speakers improve their English proficiency. In this role, I develop engaging lesson plans tailored to students' learning needs and goals. I focus on creating a supportive and interactive environment that encourages confidence in speaking, writing, and comprehension. This experience has further enhanced my ability to communicate effectively across cultures, adapt to diverse learning styles, and motivate students to succeed. My dual experience as a counselor and educator has strengthened my commitment to empowering individuals, whether by addressing their emotional and psychological needs or by equipping them with the tools for effective communication. Hey :) Ich bin Leonie, 19 Jahre alt und bin derzeit Studentin im 4. Fachsemster für Sport & Politische Bildung sowie Spanisch auf Lehramt, an der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, sowie der Freien Universität. Im Sommer 2023 habe ich mein Abitur, in Brandenburg, absolviert und hatte dabei Mathe mündliches Abitur sowie Deutsch & Biologie schriftlich im Leistungskurs. In meiner Freizeit bin ich vor allem viel sportlich aktiv, so spiele ich seit 10 Jahren Tischtennis und schwimme seit 13 Jahren. Berufliche Erfahrungen sammle ich seit meinem 15. Lebensjahr, wo ich jährlich als Rettungsschwimmerin gearbeitet habe, in der Schule Nachhilfe gegeben habe oder auch in der Gastronomie bis heute noch tätig bin. Im letzten Jahr, Juni 2023, habe ich mein Abitur, mit 1,6, an einem Gymnasium in Brandenburg absolviert und studiere seit Oktober 2023 an der HU & FU Berlin. Selbst habe ich auch in meiner Schulzeit jüngeren SuS unterer Jahrgangsstufen Nachhilfe gegeben, vor allem in Mathe. Da mir das sehr viel Spaß & Freude bereitet hat, möchte ich auch dieser Lehrtätigkeit während meines Studiums nachkommen. Insbesondere mag ich dabei in Fächern Nachhilfe geben, welche ich nicht auf Lehramt studiere, um mehr Abwechslung in meinen Alltag zu integrieren, aber auch, um mich vielseitig mit anderen fachspezifischen Wissen auseinanderzusetzen.
