I've been a teacher for 6 years now, handling various subjects in Junior High School and Senior High School, age ranging from 10 to 23 years old. I am also an international coach in Mathematics Olympiad. I have a license as a professional teacher which I acquired last 2018. I started this journey in 2019, and completed it this September 2024. I earned my degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, in 2018. During my time there, I was a Dean’s Lister, demonstrating my passion and dedication to academic excellence. I graduated as Class Valedictorian during my Elementary and Secondary School. In terms of experience, I’ve been teaching as a Senior High School Teacher II since October 2021. I’ve had the opportunity to handle various subjects, including Mathematics, Practical Research, and Accounting related subjects. Before this, I had a brief stint as a substitute teacher in September 2021, and I also taught for three years at Jose Rizal Institute from 2018 to 2021, teaching Mathematics to both junior and senior high school students. I have already attended various trainings and seminars in Mathematics. Aside from that, I won different competitions in Mathematics, the recent was as a winning coach for National Olympiad and set to compete in International Olympiad. Through my experiences in different teaching environments, I’ve developed a strong foundation in instructional methods and a deep commitment to helping students excel in their academic pursuits. Hey, mein Name ist Levin, ich bin aktuell 20 Jahre alt und wohne in Osnabrück. Meine Kindheit habe ich auf der Nordseeinsel Norderney verbracht, musste jedoch vor einem halben Jahr von dort wegziehen um studieren zu können. Ich hatte schon immer Spaß an Naturwissenschaften und gerade Mathematik ist mir nie besonders schwer gefallen. Aus diesem Grund habe ich es mir zur Aufgabe gemacht mein Wissen so gut es geht weiterzugeben und den Spaß an Zahlen vielleicht ein Stück weit auf andere zu übertragen. Mein großes Hobby ist die Musik. Ich spiele mittlerweile seit 14 Jahren Klavier und nehme auch eigene Musik auf. Außerdem hatte ich schon so ziemlich jedes Instrument mal in der Hand. Bis zur 10. Klasse bin ich auf Norderney zur Schule gegangen. Ab dann musste ich jeden Tag mit der Fähre pendeln um am Ulrichsgymnasium-Norden die 11.-13. Klasse zu absolvieren und die allgemeine Hochschulreife zu erlangen. In der Vergangenheit habe ich schon vielen Kindern Nachhilfe gegeben, vorwiegend in den Jahrgängen 1-10. Dabei habe ich besonders viel wert darauf gelegt, nicht nur die Noten zu verbessern, sondern auch den Spaß am Fach zu fördern, um eine langfristige Leistungssteigerung zu erzielen. Außerdem war mir immer sehr wichtig auf einer Augenhöhe mit meinen Schüler*innen zu kommunizieren und auch auf persönlicher Ebene einander den Kontakt zu suchen, da ich der Meinung bin, dass eine entspannte Lernatmosphäre einen großen Beitrag dazu leistet, wie der Stoff aufgenommen wird und ob er auch hängen bleibt. Das alles hat dazu geführt, dass ich meistens in kurzer Zeit schon sichtbare Ergebnisse erzielen konnte.
