As a Guidance Counselor, I had the privilege of supporting students' personal, academic, and social development. I facilitated individual and group counseling sessions, working closely with students to address their challenges and develop strategies for resilience and growth. My role also involved collaborating with parents and teachers to create tailored interventions that promoted the holistic development of each student. I am particularly passionate about fostering mental health awareness and empowering young individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. Currently, I apply my skills as an Online ESL Teacher, helping non-native speakers improve their English proficiency. In this role, I develop engaging lesson plans tailored to students' learning needs and goals. I focus on creating a supportive and interactive environment that encourages confidence in speaking, writing, and comprehension. This experience has further enhanced my ability to communicate effectively across cultures, adapt to diverse learning styles, and motivate students to succeed. My dual experience as a counselor and educator has strengthened my commitment to empowering individuals, whether by addressing their emotional and psychological needs or by equipping them with the tools for effective communication. Ich studiere Biophysik und Kognitionswissenschaften an einer Uni in den USA und bin zurzeit für das Schreiben meiner Bachelorarbeit in Deutschland. Frontalunterricht in der Schule fiel mir immer schwer, und daher habe ich mich früh mit effektiveren Lernmethoden auseinandergesetzt. In der Nachhilfe lege ich viel Wert auf Austausch und kooperatives Lernen. Wenn wir die Themen gemeinsam auf eine spielerische Art erlernen, bleibt es am Ende besser in den Köpfen, wir haben Spaß, und die guten Noten folgen ganz automatisch. Externes Abitur 2017 mit Leistungsfächern Mathe, English, und Biologie. Bachelor in Biophysik und Kognitionswissenschaften an der Minerva Universität in den USA seit 2019. Auslandssemester in Großbritannien, Südkorea, Indien, Argentinien, und Ruanda. Ich habe außerdem eine wissenschaftliche Publikation zum Thema Online Lernen während Corona mitveröffentlicht.

Hi! Ich bin Yvette, 25 Jahre alt und studiere in Frankfurt Japanologie. In meiner Freizeit backe, lese oder fotografiere ich gerne. Durch die kleinen Geschwister meiner Freunde und Kommilitonen habe ich Erfahrungen damit, Kindern bei den Hausaufgaben und beim Lernen zu helfen. Ich habe in meiner Heimatstadt das Gymnasium abgeschlossen, meine stärksten Fächer dabei waren Deutsch und Englisch. Aktuell studiere ich in Frankfurt Japanologie (Kultur, Sprache und Wirtschaft Japans) und Koreastudien ( Sprache, Kultur und Wirtschaft Koreas). Japanisch studiere ich bereits seit 4 Semestern, Koreanisch erst seit 2 Semestern, weshalb ich aufgrund dessen, nur in Japanisch Nachhilfe anbieten würde. (Da fühle ich mich sicherer als aktuell im Koreanischen). Ich habe bereits kleineren Kindern Nachhilfe gegeben, unter anderem Kindern mit ADHS. Jugendliche (ca. 12-15) habe ich ebenfalls in Fächern wie Deutsch und Englisch unterstützt, unter anderem gab es dabei Schüler mit LRS und Dyskalkulie. Da ich selbst unter Dyskalkulie leide, gebe ich allerdings keine Mathenachhilfe, dennoch kann ich mit Schülern, die darunter leiden, gut umgehen.
