I achieved 14 GCSE’s at secondary school and went on to achieve a Masters in Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. In Primary School, I was awarded the Jack Petchey Youngest Achiever Award. However, education is not whole without some fun; I have also taken part in extra curricular activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I am the co-founder of the charity Broaden Out Their Horizons along with Harry Potter actress Helena Bonham Carter. Through this charity, I flew to South Africa to teach English Literature to underprivileged children at Magoba School. My teaching method: I believe in tailoring each lesson depending on the individual's needs. I am open to using different methods and have a very friendly approach in order to help students meet their learning needs! I want the students to feel comfortable and to enjoy their learning to the maximum!

I’m currently a student studying biomedical engineering at university. I have been tutoring for 3 years and enjoy seeing my students progress and improve. I have taught students from primary to secondary schools. Helping students be more confident and improve in their subjects is always very rewarding. I’m a very patient tutor so students can feel comfortable to ask me multiple questions about topics they don’t feel confident in. I change my teaching style accordingly to my student’s preference to ensure they benefit the most of the lesson.

I like to make my lessons understanding, yet fun, so it doesn't feel like my student is back in school, but rather in a relaxed learning environment where they are free to make mistakes so they can learn better. Hey! My name is Dylan Archer and I'm currently studying Economics, Finance, and Banking at the University of Portsmouth. I play goalkeeper in football and corner in American Football, both at university level with my American football career taking me to two national championships in my first year of playing. I grew up and studied in Derby and took Geography, History, and English Language at A-Level. I think the most important thing in tutoring is the atmosphere between the tutor and student, with a calm environment allowing for learning to take place and the comfort of being able to ask questions. I love studying languages too and over the summer I practiced my Urdu and Punjabi (very basic now) and I currently am studying Arabic through my university.

I am able to tutor History at GCSE, and A-Level I am also an experienced A-level Government and Politics on the Edexcel exam board. I have experience with tutoring AQA for History A-level and both AQA and Edexcel at GCSE level for History. I also have experience working with students surrounding academic and exam stress and anxiety, I have also done extensive public speaking coaching for both competitions and increasing confidence. In my spare time, I'm a massive theatre fan and I love going to see musicals and theatre shows with my friends I also love taking time to explore my university city and getting to know a different part of the country.

I'm currently studying English Literature, French and Dutch at the University of Sheffield, and I can't wait to share my passion for books, languages and everything in between! I have been tutoring for 2 years and am offering tutoring in English, French and History to A level. I finished my A Levels in summer 2021 so I completely understand not only the current exam system and latest revision techniques, but also how stressful school life can be, both inside and out of the classroom. My goal in becoming a tutor is to do my best to help you achieve your personal goals, whether you're aiming to simply pass a class or achieve the highest grade possible. Our sessions will be focussed around how to achieve your best- everyone's 'best' is different, but yours is what matters to me.
