Hi, my name is Medhavi and I am a first year medical student. I aspire to teach in a way that is tailored for the student's individual needs by combining aspects of theory with hands-on learning and exam questions. I hope to foster a positive and encouraging environment for the student by patiently easing them into the content and building our way up. I understand that attending tuition can be a daunting experience at times, which is why I strive to be a compassionate and understanding tutor.

I'm a highly driven, enthusiastic learner and teacher; I am currently completing my qualification to become a certified TEFL/TESOL teacher to teach abroad and help students of all ages and backgrounds gain confidence in English. Alongside this, I am currently completing my degree in Zoology. I can teach a variety of age groups and subjects including maths, biology, general sciences, geography, zoology, and English at primary and KS3 levels—as well as English literature, English language, biology, psychology, zoology and geography at GCSE. Due to a new job in childcare, the only times I have available for teaching are during school hours on Monday-Friday. I also have a 9 a.m. slot on Sundays. Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel. Languages: Fluent/native in English (currently completing a TEFL/TESOL course in the English language as well), Basic French and Spanish. SEND: I do not have any specific experience with SEND groups, however, I have worked with children in mixed-ability groups. I am more than happy to cater my tutoring towards any SEND requirements or disability requirements, I aim for my lessons to be as accessible as possible. I have quite a few students currently that are SEND and have been successful with them so far. Preferred student age group: Primary age up to GCSE, and any ESL/TEFL students wanting to learn English I have many hobbies including music, reading fiction and non-fiction and learning new things from scientific literature. I would like to say that I'm always doing a hobby that is interesting and productive but I also love watching movies in bed and taking lovely, long walks around town with my headphones on. As a student that prioritised my grades and my studies so much, I understand far too well how it can affect your mental health and well-being. Making sure my students are happy and confident is my number one priority, and I will ensure that I act as a supportive and compassionate tutor.

My motive is to build confidence in my students and make them see the potential in themselves. Additionally, in my 50minutes tutoring sessions, I interact with my students as much as possible to gain their attention and help them in building confidence. In the last 10 minutes of the sessions, I provide the students with the past paper questions in order to get a better understanding of the topic and also helping the student in preparation of the coming exams. I can also help tutor SEND Students and aid them in understanding the subject as I have experience in it. |

I am a third-year undergraduate student studying Chemistry at the University of Leicester. Throughout my studies, I have seen how hard learning can be. I hope to help students build confidence and gain a deeper understanding of their subject area so they can reach their full potential during exams. I aim to base my teaching around individual students and their needs. I would like to focus on exam question practice using techniques that helped me through my studies.

Hi! I’m Kai, a fairly easy-going guy from London and I have been tutoring for just over 5 years and love every minute of it! I am here to help you ace your exams and provide that 'lightbulb' moment! Whichever way you learn best I will tailor my lessons to you. I tend to use many different resources depending on what suits your learning style, for example I usually incorporate diagrams and flowcharts to visualise some of the tricker concepts. I know when I was a student, having a tutor was a huge benefit to me as I was able to understand concepts from a different point of view. Away from tutoring, I am also a huge fan of football (Real Madrid of course!) and Athletics, mostly 100m and 200m sprinting and I previously represented both my County and Athletics Club several times at regional level. Wherever possible, I love to include real-life examples especially in Science so the lessons can be engaging and you can achieve your potential. Hope to see you soon!

New tutor
Hello, I'm George! I recently graduated with a First Class Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Natural Sciences, and I work as a Science and Spanish Teacher. Science is all around us we live and breathe it every day and understanding chemical processes helps us to understand the world better, and that's why I love it. The classes I excelled in were always the ones I enjoyed the most and this was largely influenced by my teachers and professors. I had some fantastic teachers who taught chemistry in such an engaging and creative way and spoke with passion for their discipline. I hope to bring the same enthusiasm and knowledge to my tutoring sessions. I would like to teach the students in a way that they learn best and use a mixture of lesson plans and student influence to then go on and explicitly teach the material. I will ensure the students have time to practice the material on their own. But this can all be altered depending on the student's needs. I love the Spanish culture and I have been fortunate to visit this country many times, I have been studying this great language since GCSE. I have lots of experience tutoring Spanish GCSE. I like to ensure that there is the right balance of doing exam-style exercises to practise whilst also immersing them into aspects of the culture through doing, speaking, writing and listening to passages about a variety of different parts of Spanish culture and not just what is on the specification to really instil a love for the language and culture. I tutor GCSE and Ks3 Spanish, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, and Maths. I also teach A-level Chemistry and Spanish. I have experience working one on one, face-to-face, and online. Experience with AQA, OCR, and Edexcel. I have tutored students during exam periods and throughout the school year. Some students may need a bit of extra help so they don't get behind in class, and some may be aiming for a specific grade. Either way, I can adapt the session to the student's needs. I am a big football/sports fan I love going to watch tennis and football and support my local club Reading FC, I enjoy playing video games, travelling camping, and hiking. I also have a goldfish fish called Flounder who lives in my pond.
