I was additionally awarded the David Katz Project Presentation Prize for my Neuroscience research project at the Francis Crick Institute. I have attended seven schools in four countries (Munich, Berkley, Los Angeles, Tokyo, St Andrews), which gave me a wealth of experience with different educational systems. Prior to starting university, I worked for two years as a laboratory intern in one of the world-leading virology laboratories at the University of St Andrews, focussing on novel vaccines and antiviral treatments. I am bilingual (English and Russian), and also fluent in Japanese. I am a qualified Japanese-English translator and have worked as an online translator for many years. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and had been a first-team captain of both the UCL medical women's team and the London inter-university teams. Hello! My name is Stephanie Mazambi and I’m in my second year at King’s College London studying Medicine. Alongside my academic, teaching students is a genuine passion of mine as I love to help students unlock their full potential and secure the grades they deserve. Guiding peers through the intricacies of academics has been my joy. From achieving stellar GCSE results, including 2x 7`s, 2x 9`s, and 5x 8`s, to securing an A in A-Level Biology, my journey has been marked by dedication to learning. Also, recently completing my A-levels, I understand how hard and frustrating preparation for exams can be and hope to be a helping hand to those who need it. Have previously been involved in Regional + National Lego Robotic Competitions and have mentored for students after. Currently, I am studying Medicine at King`s College London where biology and chemistry are still very valuable and I would be able to offer any advice to any prospective medical students. I'm not just here for the grades; I'm eager to share valuable insights and tips so you can fully enjoy your academics to the fullest. Let's make your educational journey a success!

Levels & Subjects I teach: Lower Level: N/A GCSE: Biology, Chemistry A-Level: Biology, Chemistry Higher Level: N/A Exam Board experience: AQA, Edexcel, OCR SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) experience: N/A Preferred student age group: GCSE and A-levels I am a Biomedical Science student. I have a strong belief that one of the first steps in becoming a good performer in Maths and Science at any stage requires confidence first and foremost in your ability that you can succeed at it even, if you are not doing so now. I hope that through this experience you will increase your confidence and love for any subject that you may need help with so that you will excel in it. I understand the struggles students can have with Maths because I once struggled with it. This was until I learnt through meeting some aspirational tutors that no one is inherently bad at Maths, but that they may have had the wrong guidance. I hope that together, we will be the right solution to your mathematical problems. I have always loved(or at least appreciated when times get hard) the importance of Chemistry Biology and Physics. But I know it takes a lot of work and commitment in understanding and applying it. I again hope that even if you don't grow to love it you will still appreciate its importance in the life we live through your studies. In my free time, I enjoy singing in my choir and crocheting. I will do the very best to help you and give you advice that you will be able to apply in many aspects throughout your life and not only at this stage.

About Me: Hi, I'm Evie, I have worked as an assistant and supply teacher for children of all ages, though I prefer to teach primary and secondary aged children. I'm a very relaxed person and am happy to adjust my teaching to the way each student works best. In my spare time I enjoy physical hands on hobbies, like baking, playing the keyboard, cross-stitch and dance. What I teach: Lower Level: Science, Geography and History GCSE: Biology, Geography and History A-Level (IB): Biology & History Exam Board experience: - Edexcel - AQA - OCR I have A levels in Biology(B), Tudor History(B)and Geology(A), and I will be attending The university of Leeds in September for Environmental Sciences. I am on the younger side, so I'm very familiar with the current expectations on students taking GCSE's and A levels, as well as the resources they have available. Something I think is essential to being able to connect with and teach the current curriculum to students.

Hey, I’m Roshni and I'm a huge fan of science which is why I chose to tutor with GoStudent to help students like myself. I enjoyed 'most' of my subjects at school and I understand it can be hard to grasp some concepts of Science whether that be the difficult maths of Chemistry or the incredibly long and complex content of Biology. I've endured the emotional rollercoaster of having to balance all my exams with a million other things and have learnt a lot, I want to be able to help you with your journey to doing the best you can. As a tutor for GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and combined Science, I specialize in preparing students for the AQA exam board. I have achieved As and A*s in GCSE Science and Mathematics, and furthered my knowledge by studying Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology during Sixth Form. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained valuable insight into various revision methods and the most effective ways to study for different types of learners. I am eager to share my knowledge and support students in achieving their academic goals.

Medicine is a rapidly changing field which requires an acknowledgment of life-long learning. During my studies of GCSE and A levels for chemistry and biology , my competence for scientific thinking has improved and has tied in with my ambitions and motivations to be a Doctor. This has broadened my method of approach to learning and has allowed me to use multiple ways in different situations to solidify my knowledge and understanding. This has proved extremely effective as it has enabled me to secure a place in a Russel group Medical School. One of these ways was realising that one of the best methods to test and improve my learning was to embrace teaching as a form of revision including teaching my peers various parts of the specification. This enhanced my appreciation for teaching and gave me the courage to become a tutor. Each individual is different, so in order to ensure the students I tutor can achieve their best, it is important for me to implement multiple methods of teaching as well as ways of revising. This will provide the students with a more personal way of teaching compared to something they may receive at school which may not be as tailored to their way of thinking and learning. Some methods includes mini-quizzing, simplified diagrams, question and process walkthroughs, and a balance of small visual, verbal , and audible cues which can make a huge difference to learning. Learning needs to be active and intuitive, so a variety of ways to learn is imperative. Maths and Science prevalently were my favourite subjects in school to learn as they had consistent logic which when understood was very rewarding. However despite enjoying the subjects, they can be equally as frustrating and require persistence. Appreciating the challenges and conceptual difficulties especially in Science and maths, helped developed my appreciation for different ways of effectively learning being required which helped me achieve all 8's and 9's in science and maths at GCSE and A's and A* at A level. Ultimately I believe being able to personally implement a range of methods to improve my own results will translate very well in my teachings to help students to also improve.
