I'm a second year student at Imperial College London studying Biomedical Science. As a current student myself, I am continuing to develop my passion for education and to expand my knowledge as I carry out my studies. As a tutor, I want to make sure that students are able to achieve their full potential through ensuring I make sure that I am meeting the needs of each individual student and focusing on topic areas they struggle with most. I will focus on putting this into practice through exam questions to help students feel prepared for questions they will face in their real exams. I have completed my GCSEs and A Levels at Herschel Grammar School. I achieved all grades 8-9 at GCSE, including Maths and English. At A Level, I achieved 3 A* in Biology, Chemistry and History and an A in EPQ. Currently, I am studying Biomedical Science and am in my third year at Imperial College London.

Hello! My name is Stephanie Mazambi and I’m in my second year at King’s College London studying Medicine. Alongside my academic, teaching students is a genuine passion of mine as I love to help students unlock their full potential and secure the grades they deserve. Guiding peers through the intricacies of academics has been my joy. From achieving stellar GCSE results, including 2x 7`s, 2x 9`s, and 5x 8`s, to securing an A in A-Level Biology, my journey has been marked by dedication to learning. Also, recently completing my A-levels, I understand how hard and frustrating preparation for exams can be and hope to be a helping hand to those who need it. Have previously been involved in Regional + National Lego Robotic Competitions and have mentored for students after. Currently, I am studying Medicine at King`s College London where biology and chemistry are still very valuable and I would be able to offer any advice to any prospective medical students. I'm not just here for the grades; I'm eager to share valuable insights and tips so you can fully enjoy your academics to the fullest. Let's make your educational journey a success!

Levels & Subjects I teach: Lower Level: N/A GCSE: Biology, Chemistry A-Level: Biology, Chemistry Higher Level: N/A Exam Board experience: AQA, Edexcel, OCR SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) experience: N/A Preferred student age group: GCSE and A-levels I am a Biomedical Science student. I have a strong belief that one of the first steps in becoming a good performer in Maths and Science at any stage requires confidence first and foremost in your ability that you can succeed at it even, if you are not doing so now. I hope that through this experience you will increase your confidence and love for any subject that you may need help with so that you will excel in it. I understand the struggles students can have with Maths because I once struggled with it. This was until I learnt through meeting some aspirational tutors that no one is inherently bad at Maths, but that they may have had the wrong guidance. I hope that together, we will be the right solution to your mathematical problems. I have always loved(or at least appreciated when times get hard) the importance of Chemistry Biology and Physics. But I know it takes a lot of work and commitment in understanding and applying it. I again hope that even if you don't grow to love it you will still appreciate its importance in the life we live through your studies. In my free time, I enjoy singing in my choir and crocheting. I will do the very best to help you and give you advice that you will be able to apply in many aspects throughout your life and not only at this stage.

Hi, my name is Roland and I'm currently a second year medical student at the University of Bristol. I was born and raised in the UK, but I am half Japanese and have spent some considerable time in Japan. I enjoy playing tennis and going swimming, as well as academic studying. I have formal experiences of teaching Japanese exchange students English and also casually teaching students at GCSE level. I have been with GoStudent for almost a year, teaching over 50 lessons to students. I have 11 GCSE's which are grade 9, including maths, english and all 3 sciences. I did 4 A Levels which resulted in me getting an A* in Maths and Chemistry and an A in Biology. I would like to offer tutoring for Maths, Biology and Chemistry for GCSE, and Biology and Chemistry for A Levels.

Medicine is a rapidly changing field which requires an acknowledgment of life-long learning. During my studies of GCSE and A levels for chemistry and biology , my competence for scientific thinking has improved and has tied in with my ambitions and motivations to be a Doctor. This has broadened my method of approach to learning and has allowed me to use multiple ways in different situations to solidify my knowledge and understanding. This has proved extremely effective as it has enabled me to secure a place in a Russel group Medical School. One of these ways was realising that one of the best methods to test and improve my learning was to embrace teaching as a form of revision including teaching my peers various parts of the specification. This enhanced my appreciation for teaching and gave me the courage to become a tutor. Each individual is different, so in order to ensure the students I tutor can achieve their best, it is important for me to implement multiple methods of teaching as well as ways of revising. This will provide the students with a more personal way of teaching compared to something they may receive at school which may not be as tailored to their way of thinking and learning. Some methods includes mini-quizzing, simplified diagrams, question and process walkthroughs, and a balance of small visual, verbal , and audible cues which can make a huge difference to learning. Learning needs to be active and intuitive, so a variety of ways to learn is imperative. Maths and Science prevalently were my favourite subjects in school to learn as they had consistent logic which when understood was very rewarding. However despite enjoying the subjects, they can be equally as frustrating and require persistence. Appreciating the challenges and conceptual difficulties especially in Science and maths, helped developed my appreciation for different ways of effectively learning being required which helped me achieve all 8's and 9's in science and maths at GCSE and A's and A* at A level. Ultimately I believe being able to personally implement a range of methods to improve my own results will translate very well in my teachings to help students to also improve.

Precious is an excellent tutor. My daughters confidence and ability in multiple subjects have improved massively thanks to Precious's tutoring. Precious is great at communicating with students and building up a rapport. He quickly identifies what the student needs and creates a tailored programme, that shows clear development from the first session.
