More informally, I’ve often found myself helping friends understand difficult topics, and I’ve learnt how to adapt my explanations depending on who I’m speaking to. These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically. Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics. I have helped and tutored other students in my past classes and am now teaching GCSE biology and chemistry for Edexcel as well as A-level AQA biology and OCR chemistry, but I am also open to other exam boards. Hi there, my name is George and I developed a real passion for maths a science during my gcse years having not always been the biggest fan previously to this period and have found great fulfilment in developing my skills ever since. I now study physics at the university of Bristol and would not have got here if it wasn’t for some of my excellent teaching mentors so anything I can do to replicate this is an exciting opportunity for me. Having taken my exams so recently where I found some crafty shortcuts and developed easy strategies to assure me I could do well and guarantee me correct answers to certain questions that came up over and over again in previous years exams.
