Hi! I’m Aliha, a second-year medical student at St George’s. I’ve always loved learning about how the body works and helping others understand it too. I know how challenging studying can feel sometimes, so I focus on making complex ideas clear, simple, and easy to remember. Before joining the Sussex I obtained my masters degree in chemistry from the University of York graduating with first-class honours. My research is based within organic chemistry and is centred on developing new reactions of interest to the pharmaceutical industry. Hi I'm Katie. In my free time I like to be with my friends, as well as social events within university, such as out chem eng society! Also, I enjoy cooking and baking and coming up with new recipes and flavours, as well as sharing this to my friends; especially cakes! I'm currently a student at the University Of Birmingham studying chemical engineering. I have a strong passion for both chemistry and maths and i believe these supply the fundamentals for understanding how the world works and can be applied to any real life concept or problem. At school I achieved grade 9 and 8 in Maths and chemistry in GCSE, to then be followed by AA at A level. I also studied physics at a level where i achieved a grade B. I previously tutored younger students during my time at secondary school, this gave me an insight into the concepts that are often misunderstood and ways I can use my knowledge to overcome this, and i now have over two years of online tutoring experience.
