Hi, I am Jaiya. I am an undergraduate psychology student at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. I have experience tutoring with Explore Learning, specialising in English from ages 4-14 as well as GCSE. My speciality is English Language and Literature, at both GCSE and English Language at A-Level. I achieved Grade 9s in AQA English Language and English Literature in 2021, and a Grade 8 in AQA Maths. In 2023, I achieved a B in AQA English Language A-Level. I have been tutoring at Explore Learning, getting expertise and making me versed in the curriculum and activities for students to participate in, between the ages of 4 to 14, and GCSE prep.

My name's Isabelle and I'm here to help learning fun and rewarding! I love learning and would love to share that passion with my students, whether it's for English, French or German, my three specialities. At college I studied English, French and Psychology, passing with excellent grades (A, A, A*) thanks to tireless hours of revision. I also completed an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) in English Literature during this time, so I am happy to provide support in this area too. At GCSE level I achieved 7 A*s (including in English Literature, Language and French) and 3 As.

I have been teaching Law and English for the last 5 years. I have a variety of experiences both online and in a classroom setup. I get great satisfaction helping student unlock their potential and aim high. I have had the honor of studying law for several years myself and gaining knowledge and understanding in various areas. I also have practical experience in the legal field. I will tailor my teaching method to what works best for you and your degree and what you are comfortable with. My areas of interest are Immigration law, commercial law, and arbitration. However, I can tutor in most areas of law at all levels including Dissertations. With years of experience as a government tax specialist and roles as a system analyst, programmer, and statistician in IT, I transitioned to teaching, which has always been my passion. I began tutoring in college to support my expenses and discovered the rewarding challenge of working with a student with dyscalculia. Through tailored strategies and building strong rapport, she succeeded. My diverse background has made me resourceful and innovative, enhancing my effectiveness in both teaching and problem-solving.
