I am a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree with honours in English Literature from Queen Mary University of London. I greatly appreciate that the ability to have a strong grip over the English language and how it can be utilisied in story telling to help us understand our own contexts and lives is a uniquely important skill. I have been aiding students from KS3 level to GCSE whilst undertaking my own studies. My highest education is my BA (Hons) from Queen Mary University of London in English, completing the course with a 2:1. I have always chanelled most of my academic abilities into English related subjects, at both GCSE and A-Level, English language or literature were my highest achieved grades. Whilst at university i focussed on modernist writing, culminating in my dissertation taking focus on James Joyce's epic novel Ulysses, taking an in depth look into how he brought Dublin through to the 21st century by implementing technological language into his first and third person writing.

My name is Charlie and i would love to help you feel more confident in your efforts to learn english to a higher level. I will tell you a brief story of why i am an english teacher. I am originally from England. I have lived in England all my life and was born there , i have also studied in 4 different schools and one college also. I have also been working secularly since i was 17 in a joiners shop making furniture. Since covid began and my boss retired i started working as a handyman and being my own boss. Then I met a girl from Spain called Sora, we began talking everyday. Now we are married and living in Tarragona in Spain. Here in Spain i have been teaching English conversation. Helping my students by giving them practice in speaking lessons and culture lessons too. I enjoy teaching and have been doing so on donation basis in order to help my students. These lessons that i have been conducting have sharpened my teaching methods. I am 21 years old and I am currently studying English Literature at Durham University. I absolutely love to travel and I am a qualified ski instructor and have done two seasons teaching in Canada and New Zealand. I am also a keen runner and I am currently training for a charitable half marathon. Additionally, I absolutely love literature! My favourite books are 'The Great Gatsby,' and 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' and 'The Picture of Dorian Gray.' I attended King's High School for Girls for my whole secondary education. I am an English and Creative Writing student at University and I love to make art and do yoga in my spare time. My favourite subject to teach is poetry, but Shakespeare is also up there!
