Hi, my name is Keeley and I'm from the North East of England. The subjects I tutor are the following: - All primary school subjects (including 11+) - GCSE and A Level Geography - GCSE and A Level Psychology - GCSE and A Level Sociology - GCSE and A Level Biology - GCSE Science - GCSE English Language and Literature - English as an additional language (EAL/ESL) For these subjects, I have experience tutoring students on all of the main exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, WJEC/Eduqas, OCR and CIE. Additionally, I have experience tutoring IGCSE students and students with ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, learning disabilities and a variety of mental health struggles. I have always had a huge passion for education and enjoy learning and helping others learn. I have had personal struggles with mental health conditions that have previously impacted my education as well as being autistic, therefore I am aware of the effects these things can have on people and take these into consideration with everything I do. I'm currently doing a degree in Psychology with the majority of my work being online, therefore have gained quite a bit knowledge regarding doing things remotely. This also means that my schedule is quite flexible as I don't have set university hours, meaning we can choose a time that best suits your needs. Currently in the third year of studying BSc Psychology. SEND diploma Sixth form (2020 - 2022) A level psychology - A* A level geography - A* A level sociology - A* GCSE (2015 - 2020) Geography - 9 (A**) Biology - 9 (A**) Chemistry - 9 (A**) Physics - 9 (A**) Maths - 8 (A*) English literature - 7 (A) English language - 7 (A)

I am available to take on regular students on Mondays 10am and 4pm and Tuesdays between the hours of 9am and 2pm. Currently not taking on French, ESL or adult students. Availability for trials only if students can continue during the following hours and days:- Monday and Tuesday between 8am and 4pm. I do not work Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. I am passionate about working with children and young people and have done this for over 17 years working in schools, social services and charities. I have worked with children and young people experiencing homelessness, in local authority care, and who are receiving weekly support from different organisations. I have also worked with families whose children are home educated and world schooled. I love nothing more than seeing children and young people's confidence increase as they learn new skills and information. I also have over 17 years experience working with children, young people and adults with learning difficulties/learning disabilities/disabilities/additional needs ranging from ADHD to ASD to global development delay and understand the need to adapt tutoring accordingly dependent on the individual's needs and making them feel as comfortable and at ease as much as possible. I am currently worldschooling my 12 year old son so I could be anywhere in the world as I'm tutoring as we travel. I tutor the following subjects and levels: English (from nursery to year 9) Welsh (from nursery to GCSE), History (from nursery to GCSE), Religious Studies (from nursery to GCSE), French (from nursery to GCSE) All of the above subjects were my favourite subjects in school. Mathematics (primary school age - in English and Welsh; Years 7-9 in English only) Geography (nursery to year 9) Science (primary school age - in English and Welsh, Years 7-9 in English only) The exam boards I can support with are Wjec, AQA and Igcse I am also happy to tutor students who are learning English and Welsh and want to improve their skills with a native speaker. I tutor 11+ and help prepare students for the 11+ exam. I tutor functional skills Level 1 and 2. I can also tutor through the medium of Welsh as I am a native Welsh speaker and completed all my education through the medium of Welsh. I can also tutor English as a second and/or foreign language to children and young people (ESL/EFL) when they are B2 or higher. Due to my professional and academic background in health and social care I am excited about providing tutoring at GCSE level and higher in Health and Social Care also. I enjoy exam preparation work and adapt how I tutor dependent on the needs of the student. A bit about me, I love travelling, spending time with my children and grandchild, learning about other cultures, Netflix binges, reading (I am a huge bookworm) and enjoy keeping fit. I love dance-I am an ex-dancemum as my daughter was a passionate dancer from a young age and I used to own a dance workshop business bringing choreographers from abroad to the UK. I am a very patient, kind and caring person and will try my best to make sure that any student is happy with how I work and if they aren't I will adapt my ways to suit them as they are the ones that need to benefit from it and if something I am doing doesn't work then I will try different ways until they are happy. I am a firm believer in letting children and young people lead the session even if I am working on specific topics but I keep them focused on the task at hand too. If there are available slots showing in evenings I start my lessons on the hour to maximise my available time for other students and would appreciate that if any bookings are made independently that they are booked following this time to be fair to as many students as possible. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you all soon! This is my full time role therefore you can be certain that I will not be providing supply tutors due to me being unavailable except for times of sickness and I do try and ensure that any supply tutor is the same one each time to provide consistency. I have a BA(Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies and the degree covered a wide range of topics such as Health and social care, child development, childhood around the world, children's literature, working with children and young people. I have a Certificate in Health and Social Care and a Diploma in Higher Education too in a number of topics related to children, young people and families. I have also continued to learn about a wide variety of things such as social policy, safeguarding, national curriculum and various other topics due to my career. I am currently completing a Diploma in Digital Marketing and my TEFL Certification to compliment my work which I already do with tutoring English as an additional / foreign language. Once I have completed my TEFL certification I will be starting a Masters in Online Teaching to further enhance my skills and knowledge in this field of work to ensure I offer the best possible service I can to my students.

I'm literally so overjoyed to have had the amazing opportunity to join GoStudent as a tutor back in April 2023 and I just wanted to elaborate further on my academic and in addition extracurricular skills which have equipped me greatly to be able to shine a light on my own capabilities as well as my weaknesses at this time! I think that I have developed my communication skills via group work with the rest of the tutors and programme coordinators and also have had the privilege to really just go into further detail about what actually makes me tick and I really appreciate how supportive everyone has been in terms of my development and progress thus far. But how about he excitement of sharing a wonderful session with my tutees? We usually discuss the relevance of outside-of-the-box thinking and how phenomenal it is when the student and their loved ones get to choose what will happen during the lesson itself and also set the standards regarding the content to be covered so the sessions are usually quite fun and engaging to be honest! :-) I really enjoyed my time at the UCL School of Pharmacy while studying for the MPharm degree and I am just waiting to be able to sit some deferred final year exams and graduate hopefully quite soon following a recent gap year actually. I did graduate with a first in MSci in Pharmaceutical Studies back in October 2022. Now I am just in the process of applying for medical school and tend to spend my free time on either reading novels, playing the keyboard or making artsy-craftsy notes which will hopefully contribute towards a revision blog that I am starting to establish. I also like going for walks and exploring all sorts of new exciting places within London. I did of course go to Exeter medical school back in 2017 and left (for personal reasons such as the PBL structure of the course) before joining UCL in 2018. This means I am quite agile when it comes to things like discussing interview techniques and CV requirements if needed for individual students. I also tend to motivate my tutees to stay and CONTINUE with what they are doing rather than back away, especially in the face of challenges! This is because I myself wish I hadn't left medicine and now am re-applying so it indicates my perseverence and understanding of the new and surprising aspects of the course! ;)

Hi! I'm Venus, a final-year medical student and part-time tutor. I have a passion for teaching and have been tutoring for over 4 years now. I try to have an open and friendly classroom where my students can learn whilst being themselves and look forward to their teaching sessions. Here are some testimonials from previous students: "I honestly couldn’t have gotten my grade 9s without Venus! She made everything so much easier to understand and was super patient when I didn’t get something right away. The sessions never felt stressful because she always created such a friendly, relaxed environment, so I didn’t feel embarrassed asking questions. They really helped boost my confidence, and I always felt like I could actually get through even the hardest topics. I’m so thankful for their support" I achieved grades 8-6 in GCSE English Literature, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology. I also achieved A*AAB at A level in Psychology, Chemistry, Biology, and Core Maths. I am familiar with AQA, and OCR exam boards in KS3 and 4.

My daughter received tutoring with Go Student and achieved an A in Higher English (raised from a C in prelim) and a B in Higher Biology( up from a D in prelim). Thankyou Go Student you went above and beyond for us accommodating both the Scottish exam system and the fact that the exams take place a month earlier than in England.
