Hi there! My name is Oliver (or Ollie). I am a 22 year old student currently completing my Mathematics BSc at the University of Nottingham. I have experience in tutoring online and like to believe I am an empathetic tutor who understands what it's like to be in a position where I'm not performing as well as I should due to not enjoying what I am learning. As a result I think I will be able to relate to many students who require tuition. Over the years I have developed a way of thinking about and approaching different concepts in order to develop a true understanding. I hope I will be able to pass this on to anyone I assist in their studies so that they achieve what they are capable of. Thank you for reading and regards, Ollie Currently completing a Mathematics BSc at the University of Nottingham (3rd year). A*A*A at A-Level (Mathematics, Economics and Physics, respectively). AAAA at AS-Level (in aforementioned subjects as well as History) 13 A-C grades at GCSE-Level. Passed the 11+ back in 2011.

GCSE: Sciences and Maths A-Level : Biology, Chemistry and Maths Exam Board Experience : AQA I am a current associate teacher in science after graduating Lancaster University with a degree in biomedicine, specialising in biogerontology at dissertation level and have experience in a hospital pathology lab. I have tutored for over two years now and in my spare time like to go on hikes in the Lake District I studied my GCSEs in the North-West of England and then went on to study A-level biology, chemistry and maths near the Lake District for a change of teaching style. After my A-levels, I went to study biomedicine at Lancaster University with a current interest in biogerontology and insulin/IGF-like signalling. This interest has led to me being currently in the process of being listed in my supervisor's research as an undergraduate author on the extension of lifespan in Drosophila through reduced IIS in serotonergic neurons. I am an engineering university student with a diverse educational background from different countries. Owing to my diverse experience, I am able to teach using varied curricula, adopt different systems, and incorporate appropriate approaches to meet the needs of the students. I am still a student, so I have first-hand experience with what students require from a student's perspective. Although I have around 3 years of experience working as a part-time tutor, both online and physical, I have been tutoring as a volunteer for about 8 years now. I have worked with students from different parts of the world of all levels and ages. Aside from teaching as a career, I am passionate about it because I aspire that "learning should be fun." I teach because I love it, because I enjoy it, and because I want to help the student improve in the most amusing way possible. As the saying goes "if you do what you love, you will do it with passion," and I am here to help the students realize that they love learning. I began my lower-level studies in Tanzania (my home country), where I picked up the British educational system. I later received a scholarship to study abroad as an exchange student, moved to the US to complete part of my high school there, and then returned to Tanzania to finish my A-levels. At this point, starting with the modest volunteer programs I was taking part in in Tanzania, this is when I first learned about teaching. I was awarded another scholarship to Turkey to start my bachelor's in engineering. And this is when I started teaching as a part-time profession, taking it to the next level. I currently live in Lithuania as an Erasmus student and am constantly exploring new adventures and experiences as a teacher through different youth programs and volunteer camps. Likewise, I can't wait to embark on a new journey with you.
