Hi there! I am an experienced and empathetic English Literature and Language tutor with over 5 years of experience and many success stories under my belt. I have experience teaching English Literature and English Language for the following levels and exam boards: A-Level— AQA, OCR, WJEC Eduqas; GCSE— AQA, OCR, WJEC Eduqas; Key Stage 3, as well as the 11+ exams. I'm also very interested in tutoring students at the undergraduate level. I only (fluently) speak English, and I do not have any SEN tutoring experience. My approach to tutoring is student centric, with a focus on developing skills via scaffolding. I encourage participation and employ multimedia learning tools when and where appropriate. In 2021, I graduated from the English Master's programme at the University of Liverpool with a strong Distinction and a highly commended dissertation. I had also previously completed a BA at UoL, and received As and A*s in my English Literature A-Level and GCSEs. My Master's degree specialised in contemporary and modern literature, but I love Victorian, Renaissance and classic lit too! I'm a bit of a nerd for literary theory and poetry in particular (my MA dissertation even drew on my experience of teaching poetry to young people).

I’m an enthusiastic individual, that is keen on teaching children, of all ages, up until A-level. I have many different hobbies, such as playing sports and cooking different recipes, which is something I carry out in my free time. I’m also multilingual, as I can speak both Bengali and Urdu fluently. I also have experience of teaching, as I ran my own personal tuition for primary school children, now moving unto secondary school, for English, which is something that I am carrying out now. I’m looking forward to teaching Primary school children, for both Maths and English, as well as English Language and English Literature for GCSE students, and in teaching Finance to A-level students.
