Hi, I’m Varun! I’m a Master's student at UCL, studying Software Systems Engineering. I also have a first-class honours bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I have a strong passion for both Mathematics and Computer Science, and I love sharing that enthusiasm with others through teaching. Mathematics and Computer Science are not just academic subjects to me—they shape the way I think and approach problems. From logical coding processes to the structure behind music, I appreciate how these disciplines connect to the world around us. Whether it’s exploring the logic behind algorithms or understanding how mathematical principles apply to real-world scenarios, I enjoy helping students see these subjects in a new light. I offer tutoring in Mathematics for all ages up to GCSE level and Computer Science up to A Level. I have real experience teaching for OCR, AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, and Eduqas across both subjects, ensuring my lessons align with the specific requirements of each exam board. My approach is always tailored to each student, helping them feel confident in tackling challenging topics in a way that works best for them. In Mathematics, I help students develop strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of key topics, from foundational arithmetic to algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Whether it’s reinforcing school material, practicing exam-style questions, or building confidence with tricky concepts, I ensure lessons are engaging and structured to suit individual learning styles. In Computer Science, I cover both theory and practical programming skills. I help students master topics such as algorithms, data structures, networking, and computer architecture while also ensuring they gain hands-on experience in coding. I’m comfortable teaching Python, Java, C#, VB.NET, and more, and I can also support students with programming projects in any language of their choice, offering guidance on best practices, debugging, and code optimization. With over 1,000 lessons delivered in Mathematics and Computer Science, I have worked with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. My goal is not just to improve grades but to build confidence and foster a genuine interest in these subjects. If you’re looking for a tutor who can make complex concepts more approachable and help you build a strong foundation in Maths and Computer Science, I’d love to help! Working towards a MSc in Software Systems Engineering at University College London I hold: - First Class Honours Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Royal Holloway, University of London - A Levels in Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics - a Further Mathematics qualification - GCSES in Mathematics, English Lit and Lang, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, DT, Latin, and Music - Grade 5 in Piano and Cello

I am an engineering university student with a diverse educational background from different countries. Owing to my diverse experience, I am able to teach using varied curricula, adopt different systems, and incorporate appropriate approaches to meet the needs of the students. I am still a student, so I have first-hand experience with what students require from a student's perspective. Although I have around 3 years of experience working as a part-time tutor, both online and physical, I have been tutoring as a volunteer for about 8 years now. I have worked with students from different parts of the world of all levels and ages. Aside from teaching as a career, I am passionate about it because I aspire that "learning should be fun." I teach because I love it, because I enjoy it, and because I want to help the student improve in the most amusing way possible. As the saying goes "if you do what you love, you will do it with passion," and I am here to help the students realize that they love learning. I began my lower-level studies in Tanzania (my home country), where I picked up the British educational system. I later received a scholarship to study abroad as an exchange student, moved to the US to complete part of my high school there, and then returned to Tanzania to finish my A-levels. At this point, starting with the modest volunteer programs I was taking part in in Tanzania, this is when I first learned about teaching. I was awarded another scholarship to Turkey to start my bachelor's in engineering. And this is when I started teaching as a part-time profession, taking it to the next level. I currently live in Lithuania as an Erasmus student and am constantly exploring new adventures and experiences as a teacher through different youth programs and volunteer camps. Likewise, I can't wait to embark on a new journey with you.

GCSE: Sciences and Maths A-Level : Biology Exam Board Experience : AQA I am a current associate teacher in science studying for my PGCE after graduating Lancaster University with a degree in biomedicine, specialising in biogerontology at dissertation level and have experience in a hospital pathology lab. I have tutored for over 3 years now and in my spare time like to go on hikes in the Lake District I studied my GCSEs in the North-West of England and then went on to study A-level biology, chemistry and maths near the Lake District for a change of teaching style. After my A-levels, I went to study biomedicine at Lancaster University with a current interest in biogerontology and insulin/IGF-like signalling. This interest has led to me being currently in the process of being listed in my supervisor's research as an undergraduate author on the extension of lifespan in Drosophila through reduced IIS in serotonergic neurons. I am now an associate teacher in science, specialising in biology.

Hi I’m Mahnoor! I am a qualified English teacher with years of experience both in tutoring and school teaching. I teach: Primary School KS1/KS2: English Secondary/High School GCSE: English Language (GCSE), English Literature (GCSE), Urdu and Law College A-level: Law Experience with: -KS1/KS2/KS3/KS4 - English England Curriculum -Students with disabilities/special needs (SEND) -ADHD/Autism/Dyslexia/ODD Languages: English, Urdu, and Punjabi No two children are the same, so a big part of my approach towards tutoring is to adapt each lesson towards that student’s needs in order to achieve their full potential. Why learn with me? I love to deliver lessons tailored to each student that are fun as well as engaging and I encourage students to interact as much as possible. I believe it’s important to make sure students are practicing what they’re taught or revising in their spare time and I am their biggest cheer leader to push them to meet targets! I have plenty of resources for activities, worksheets, homework and especially exam revision! As well as remaining friendly and an approachable person, I also strongly believe in creating and maintaining a professional relationship as a tutor. When I am not tutoring, I like to spend my time with my family, friends and most importantly- my daughter! During my downtime, I enjoy reading, painting and trying out new cooking recipes! I’ve studied a wide range of subjects from a young age! I did my Undergraduate bachelor degree in Law (LLB) and then went on to complete my Postgraduate Masters in Law (LLM) too. After some experience in the legal sector I realised I wanted to go towards a career in teaching as that’s what I’ve always loved the most! That led me to complete my teaching qualification (PGCE) where I additionally specialised in English and worked with primary and secondary school GCSE students. Along with teaching a variety of subjects, I aim to work with students professionally and motivate them to discuss career opportunities and specialisms. Whether it’s teaching Law, Urdu, Primary Education or English- I haven’t looked back since!

I believe that knowing a second (or a third language) can open many doors in this world. As long as we give others a bit of what the world has given us, we can make a better and brighter future. I've had the opportunity to live in different places throughout my life. I lived in Dallas Texas for 2 years when I was in primary school. Later, after finishing high school I took a gap year and lived in Lyon, France for almost a year. During this time, I did a little bit of traveling in Europe. After I got accepted to medical school, I fully dedicated my time to it. However, I tried to do some volunteering in my spare time or over vacations. I got the opportunity to spend a summer in Cambodia and France doing medical volunteering. During my internship, I spend 3 months in Barcelona at the Neurosurgical department at Sant Pau Hospital. I like to travel and explore the world, I’m very fond of the outdoors and love to exercise and keep myself in good shape.

Hi, I'm Mona! A little about me; I tutor Primary and GCSE-level students in English. Right now, I'm more focused on GCSE students. I have in-depth knowledge in English literature from Shakespearean plays like Macbeth to War and Conflict Poems, and more. I'm fluent in English, write a lot, and I absolutely love creative writing so that comes in handy when guiding students through revision for the English Language Paper. I'm also familiar with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas. What I love most about my tutoring sessions is that from the onset, my students and I try to make learning not feel like a chore. We strive to not only achieve the educational goals we set out but we make it so that the main objective is to learn and understand, not just pass a test. I'm open-minded and firmly believe there is no such thing as a person who can't be taught. Each student is different from the next and all anyone really needs is the right kind of guidance. I am currently in University for my Bachelor's but I graduated from the equivalent of UK A-Levels with honours. My curriculum was English, Arts, and Humanities-centered so I had subjects such as Media and Information Literacy, Research Writing, Creative Fiction and Non-Fiction, Contemporary Art, etc. I used to write for a travel blog and was the assistant to the managerial editor of a newspaper company so I proofread, edited, and wrote articles a lot.

Hello! :) My name is Cécile and I am twenty-four years of age. In 2021, I graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester with a Bachelors Degree in Drama and I am currently midway through my Insurance chartership. I will have my CII accreditation by February 2026. I currently work full-time as an Insurance Consultant but the highlight of my week, is supporting students on their academic journeys! :) I have been delivering high-quality teaching in both, face to face and virtual settings, for almost five years. I have operating as a freelance tutor on the GoStudent platform, since January 2022. On the 4th of January 2024, I received my 500th lesson certificate from GoStudent and since January 2022, I have delivered over 700 lessons on this platform, alone. Throughout this time, I have encouraged an array of students who vary in different strengths and abilities, to succeed/reach their goals! I teach the following subjects: Drama, English, History and French. Drama and English are both taught from, Primary through to Degree level. History is taught from GCSE through to As/A-Level. French is taught from Primary through to GCSE standard. I also teach French to individuals who are looking to learn the language, from scratch. I possess dual nationality - I am half French and half English. I also conduct lessons providing coursework and exam help. I love keeping active, listening to music/podcasts, playing with my cat and helping others succeed, is the icing on top of the cake! If I can help someone achieve their goals, then that is a day well spent :) I possess almost five years of tutoring experience and that includes both, face to face as well as online. In 2016, I passed and achieved thirteen GCSE's, nine of which vary from B - A* grades. - Bishop Walsh Catholic School, Birmingham. In 2018, I passed and achieved three A-Levels in Drama, History and Biology. - Bishop Walsh Catholic School, Birmingham. In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Drama including a First Class for my Dissertation. - De Montfort University, Leicester. In 2024, I started my Cert CII and I am aiming to have my full Chartership in Insurance, by February 2026. Throughout my degree: I received a First Class Honors for my 'Education and the Performing Arts' module which has proven fruitful with tutoring. This consolidated my understanding of the performing arts education policy, pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment in a time of educational, economic, technological and social change. It also allowed me to construct innovative ways towards lesson exploration including within the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) sector. I can confidently say that I have explored the place of the performing arts in the evolving English education system and in the early years, informal, community and therapy settings. My degree allowed me to submerse myself into various fields of education and resultantly, have the right exposure towards assisting students within the following categories: - EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage/s). - SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). - Primary Education. - Secondary Education. - Mature learning.

It's been 9 months I am working / studying with Bronwen as she had the ability and sensibility to understand my pace, my abilities and my limitations, hence it has been a great experience by having my knowledge in the English language significantly improved due to her way of working with me in the revision of my assignments and supporting me to pass one by one. I strongly recommend her tuition. Thank you!

What is Key Stage 3?
Key Stage 3 (KS3) covers the three years of school known as Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9, when students are between 11 and 14 years of age.
It follows the national curriculum and prepares children for more advanced learning at KS4/GCSE level.
What subjects are covered in Key Stage 3?
The compulsory subjects at Key Stage 3 are:
Additional subjects include Religious Education (RE) and Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), which includes sex education. Parents can request that their children opt out of sex education lessons and either parts of RE or all the lessons.
The focus of Key Stage 3
KS3 forms a bridge between primary school and GCSE study. It deepens knowledge and understanding in the different subjects and focuses on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The curriculum is designed to be broad so that students can explore their interests and abilities in a wide range of subjects. This is essential when it comes to deciding which subjects to pursue at GCSE level – a crucial decision which influences future academic and career paths.
How is KS3 assessed?
Learning is assessed in two ways: how well students are learning and remembering the curriculum and whether they are understanding what they have learned.
There are no national or external assessments at Key Stage 3. Instead, teachers carry out ongoing assessments for each pupil in each of the year groups.
How to choose a KS3 tutor
Whether your child is struggling with making the transition from primary to secondary school or having difficulties with one or more subjects in any of the years, a KS3 tutor can help them close any gaps in their understanding while helping to build confidence and motivation.
Tutoring can also help students needing an extra boost before entering the Key Stage 4 GCSE years.
It’s essential the tutor is a subject specialist and experienced in adaptive learning, which prioritises personalised learning tailored to the individual’s needs and understanding. This approach allows students to work at their own pace and truly master any problem areas before moving on.
GoStudent has a range of qualified and experienced tutors in all subjects covered in the KS3 curriculum. They can suggest effective study techniques and deepen understanding while helping create a study plan that will keep learning on track.
With the help of a tutor, your child can reach their full potential and develop love of learning that will carry them through the rest of their school years and beyond.
How much does private KS3 tuition cost?
