Hello, I'm Armi, an English teacher since 2021. Having completed my postgraduate studies in 2023, my primary focus is English teaching, although I find joy in exploring various academic subjects. My classes are conducted entirely in English, aiming for an immersive learning experience. My ultimate goal is to support your success in today's world by fostering an engaging and effective English learning environment. I have a strong academic background with honors in Business Management from Singapore and Marketing Management from the Philippines. I'm certified in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners), and have a Certificate in Professional Development focused on evidence-based teaching methods. My diverse skills, along with my passion for literary and theater arts, make me a well-rounded and effective educator.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I am a keen traveller, audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as EFL/ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or older, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel and OCR in the main. WJEC/Eduqas to a lesser extent. Languages:- English: as a first language to advanced level. Turkish: fluent to college level.

Hello! I am a second-year student at the University of Bristol, studying Engineering Maths:) This really gives me a sense of pride, allowing me to see my work and efforts have a real positive impact. Before University, during my A-Levels, I privately tutored many students, across numerous subjects. My students were always so happy and proud of themselves for reaching grades they never thought possible. Aside from my studies, I enjoy drumming, going to the gym and being a part of my university's RAF Air Squadron. In 2021 I completed Renishaw Engineering Work Experience. This gave me Project Management skills, team-building characteristics and other proactive traits. I have devoted 6 years to my time as a member of the Air Cadets and 1 year to my University Air Squadron. This has given me a vast skill set, making me adaptable to various situations. Over the years I have had many jobs to suit my lifestyle. These include being a Resin Caster, Delivery Driver, and Tutor.
