Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! I'm a recent grad from Warwick University, while I was there I enjoyed playing dodgeball, going for hikes and learning the guitar. I look forward to seeing movies at the cinema and cycling on the weekends as well as visiting museums and galleries. I also have a pet cat. I completed a BSc in Mathematical Statistics (with Computer Science) at the University of Warwick. My course was intensive, covering broad areas of pure and applied maths, theoretical statistics, statistical modelling and programming. As many of my modules were geared towards data science, much of my learning culminated in an undergraduate research project in machine learning - exploring how machines encode information on the neuron-level.

I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over a year. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques.
