Hello, my name is Julia and I am from Romania. I am a sixth year medical student currently studying in Italy and I am greatly passionate about medicine, learning languages and traveling. I am 18 years old and am taking a gap year, looking to study Mathematics at Oxford. Outside of academics, I love to play sports, especially football and tennis which I play for local clubs. I am also a keen runner and am currently training for a half marathon. I achieved 4A*s at A level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I am a final year Space and planetary science PhD student between Imperial College London and The Natural History Museum. I work on exploration missions, testing instrumentation and developing software to explore Mars. My back ground is in Astrophysics and I am a huge lover of space!
