My name is Ash and I love tutoring students and showing them ways through which they can not only become a confident learner, but also a confident person overall. I believe that learning should not always be serious and so I tend to make learning interesting for my students at all times. My previous students have said that they never notice the time go whilst learning with me. I enjoy baking, singing, swimming and travelling. Hi, I’m Lily and I’m a 19 year old student at the University of Leeds currently on my second year of completing the joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations. I have a passion for tutoring and I have been doing it for years in multiple different secondary schools, so I know how to engage with students and adapt my teaching methods to the particular student to ensure they can achieve the highest grade possible in a fun and relaxed setting. I teach biology, law and Spanish after studying them at both GCSE and A-level, so I would say I have expert knowledge in these areas to students who are keen to learn of all ages. We can have fun whilst we learn as I truly believe you learn the most and remember the most when you are enjoying what you are doing. Outside of studying and tutoring I love to play instruments like the guitar and the piano, and I also kick-box and dance. I love to keep myself busy and to help elevate others to be the best versions of themselves which is why I love to tutor and next year I will be teaching English in Spain. GCSES: Maths-8 English Literature-9 English Language-9 Physics-9 Chemistry-9 Biology-9 History-9 Music-8 Spanish-9 A-Levels: Law-A Spanish-B Biology-B EPQ-A I am currently doing a joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations at the University of Leeds.

Hello! I have been a tutor for 8 years with ages 4-17 in a variety of subjects including English, History and Philosophy. I am happy to teach 11+ and English for primary school students, English, RS and History to GCSE level and I am also able to teach A- level History, Ethics and Philosophy. I have worked with children through Debate Mate teaching politics and my students competed at a national level and were extremely successful. I am very calm and patient and I can make lessons engaging for all ages. In my spare time, I meet up with my friends and my boyfriend- I love being in nature! I also spend a lot of time travelling particularly to German-speaking countries to better my language. If I’m doing none of these things then I will be at home cuddling with my kittens. I am currently studying Politics and German at the University of Manchester and I am in my third year predicted at a 2:1. I acquired 3 A-levels in History, Philosophy and Ethics and German with AAC as the final results. As mentioned previously, I have tutored for many years and I am well equipped to work with children who are anxious or may need that extra bit of support to build their confidence. I also have worked with SEN children with ADHD and Autism and will tailor teaching to their needs. This is one of the most important parts of the job for me; I take a huge amount of pride in my students and will do everything possible to make them comfortable and believe in their abilities.

~ Welcome to Ms. A. L River's Classes ~ It is a pleasure to have you here on this journey! I cannot wait to meet your sproutlings (and establishing trees), continuing the process of discovering and nurturing their passions with them. I have six years experience of guiding and teaching students of various ages. All lessons are preplanned, with the student's interests and passions intentionally worked into the teaching. TEACHING TOOLS: * Screen sharing facilities, * co-writing, including mind-mapping and more * illustrations * key stage-relevant worksheets, * quizzes / past exam questions (familiar with AQA, OCR, WJEC, Pearsons/Edexcel) * recorded videos * thought provoking, practical application in the world relevant to the student WHO I WORK WITH: Pupils desiring improvement in their subjects (who may not yet know they will enjoy the process!) Particularly: - those who may find typical lessons less engaging of their focus, and enjoy a more interactive, magical style of teaching. - those who desire continuous encouragement, support, and prefer experimentation with various techniques & styles of teaching - those who desire more effort and time to build a trusting connection with their tutor - those who need fun as part of their learning experience (everyone!) I prefer to work with one pupil on a number of subjects rather than one, as subjects can tie-in and feed into one another in explaining the world through a multi-disciplinary lens. My Plan: Building ongoing connection and tailoring my sessions to your child's/ your specific learning style and/or needs. This part is integral to the learning process, and our first session will ensure an in-depth understanding of the student's most aligned learning style. SUBJECTS key stage 1-3 (ages 5-14) All core & foundation subjects as stated on the 'national curriculum in England - Framework document' GSCEs Key stage 3 (ages 14-16) all core subjects + Media + Drama/acting + Art & Design + Geography + History + ICT +R.S / Philosophy Sixth Form AS/A-Levels: *Psychology *English Lit (and English Lang) *History/ Classical Civilisations *Philosophy *Anthropology *Media and/or film studies I look forward to working with you, book a package to start now! A

Alex Dinas

Jana has been a fabulous German tutor to our daughter. Her consistently excellent teaching over the past years has been a key contributing factor for our daughter's learning trajectory which led her in achieving a 9 in her end-of-year exams. We look forward to next years tutoring and hope that our daughter will remain in the high achieving path on her actual GCSE German exam.
