Hi everyone! I am Rifah, a current first year medical student. I have already gained a bachelor's and a master's degree in the field of science, so it is safe to assume that I enjoy learning all things scientific! I also enjoy teaching science (and maths) which is why I have been tutoring both subjects for the past 6 years. I have experience tutoring one-to-one but also in a small class setting, where an actual classroom teaching is mimicked. However, during my one-to-one lessons I like to focus on my individual's student's needs and weakness, tailoring my help to what is the most beneficial for them. This is why I always ask for feedback from my students, and incorporate their ideas in my lesson to make it more engaging and fun. Nevertheless, I ensure that we cover all basis for what is needed to better their school performance. I am very familiar with all the exam boards offered by British schools (such as AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC), thus I am confident that I will be able to help everyone to the best of my ability. Given my academic background, I can also help with personal statements and entrance exams required for Medicine.

Hi! My name is Dominika and I am 22. I have just finished degree in Medical Genetics (on track to getting a First Class) and will be starting my PhD in Cancer Biology at the University of Glasgow this coming October! Throughout the years as a student, I have been helping my peers in understanding complex problems in Biology and Maths and have always been told that I am a natural teacher, which encouraged me to try and become a tutor. I am patient, creative, and interested in the process of learning, having completed the 'Improving your Study Techniques' course from the University of Groningen. In whatever way you like to study, I can suggest new techniques and find resources you will hopefully find useful. Let's meet and figure out the way to help you achieve your goals – I have no doubt that you will be able to meet them given the right learning environment and resources! Thank you and I am looking forward to meeting you! Levels & Subjects you teach Lower Level: Maths GCSE: History and Maths Exam Board Experience: I have previous experience with Edexcel. For History I covered topics of Medicine Through Time, The American West, First and Second World Wars, Henry VIII, Russian Revolution and Weimar & Nazi Germany which all span across exam boards. At University Level I studied the period 1555 - present with a particular interest in the development of Global Health in that period. Languages: English (fluent) SEND: no previous experience Prefered Student Age: 14-16 (GCSE ) for History and Primary/GCSE for Maths Hello, my name is Alex and I am currently working part-time as a Museum Engagment Officer for the University of Dundee. I graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2021 with a first-class degree in Social Anthropology. I also took modules in History and Art History in the first two years of my course. My passion for History led me to an MSc in Digital Heritage at the University of York and to my current job at the University of Dundee Museums Service. I also have over 7 years of experience volunteering at Heritage sites and Museums. I've done various roles in archives, social media, events and exhibitions as well as working as a tourguide at a castle with a 1500 year history. I think this gives me a lot of skills in communicating heritage alongside the academic skills that would make me a good tutor for History. My hobbies are art and design. I love to paint and draw but have been doing a lot of digital illustrations recently. I'm also really interested in historical fashion. I've done costuming for theatre shows and I like to sew from vintage patterns or make history inspired items. I have also been working on designing historical dress-up doll online games which is an extension of my MSc dissertation research. Additionally I love to bake and enjoy yoga and walking. I would like to take a students hobby/interest and use that as an entry point into the period to capture their imagination. Coming from a museum background I would also like to incorporate objects from collections as a starting point for understanding the past and a way to develop the source analysis skills needed in exams.

Hello! My name is Nikiya and I am a King's College London student studying Biochemistry. I am genuinely a huge science nerd and love to know how all the little systems in our body build to make such complex structures that build up to make us. I've always been big on people watching and it's just so interesting to think that we are all just an arrangement of atoms so capable of such fantastic things. A few random Things. My favourite book of all time is the Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, I have read it 4 Times now I believe. My favourite shows are Avatar the Last air bender. I mainly would like to teach A-level Biology and or Chemistry (AQA) as I am very confident in these two subjects. EPQ ( extended project qualification)

Subjects taught: Psychology Educations levels taught: GCSE/Scottish Nationals, A-Level/Scottish Highers, UG Psychology My Teaching Style: I'm a tutor because I love helping people to learn and succeed, and this is reflected in my approach to tutoring. I adapt lesson style and content to your needs. We can go through specific subject areas, study skills and exam skills as required. I can vary how the material is delivered according to the situation and what works for you. I will teach and do lecture notes where appropriate, or take a more "coaching" style if that suits you and the situation better. We can even do more seminar/discussion style lessons as you become more comfortable with the material. At the heart of all of the above is making sure that we are working together so that you can achieve your goals. I know that you are probably already having lessons in school or at home, and my goal will be to complement those existing lessons rather than replacing them so that you can get the best value out of our time together. Specialisms: I am able to cover all aspects of the curriculum but I am particularly focused on skills. Psychology is a little different to other subjects covered at A-Level - not only do students have to learn a lot of information and produce it under exam conditions, but there is also a need to analyze and evaluate what has been learned so that they can write clearly, concisely and insightfully about that information. As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. The same will apply when we work together. In my spare time I love to play football and follow a lot of sport. I am learning to play guitar (very slowly) and enjoy listening to music, going to gigs when the opportunity arises. I love learning and am always doing some course or another - I'm currently studying to teach English as a foreign language and starting Coaching course in the next couple of months as well. PhD Psychology - University of Leeds MSc Occupational Psychology - University of Sheffield BSc Psychology - University of Sheffield A-Levels - Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Sociology (all A grade) Teaching Experience: Delivered MSc lectures on Psychology Research methods Lead seminars, labs and one-to-one sessions with Undergraduate Psychology students on a variety of topics within Psychology I have worked in a number as an Improvement Consultant, Client Services Analyst and Academic Researcher. A common thread in all those roles was coaching and teaching colleagues and communicating complex information to a range of people who did not necessarily share the same background.
