Working with the students at LAMDA involved developing their close reading skills to extract information about character and context from a monologue and exploring effective memorisation techniques for line-learning with each individual student, and this individualised, student-led approach is essential to my teaching. I am particularly skilled in literacy, comprehension, and essay-writing. My drama background informs my tutoring, as I aim to bring some flair to lessons, while balancing fun with learning! I believe in removing all barriers to educational achievement, and have always striven to be fair, kind and open-minded to the young people I teach, seeing students not just as grades, but whole people, and supporting them throughout their education with empathy and compassion. Hi there! I am an experienced and empathetic English Literature and Language tutor with over 5 years of experience and many success stories under my belt.
