I am a certified TESOL teacher who studied English at college, and law and business studies at university. I spent three years teaching English in Tokyo, Japan - first for a language school and then in business. Since returning to the UK, I have taught for many different companies and also as a private home tutor. I'm used to teaching adults and children of all ages and am accustomed to working towards examinations. As a tutor, it's important that my student feels comfortable and has confidence in my abilities to help them progress so I have a relaxed manner when teaching but with an eye on reaching targets. So we will look at the areas where you need help, look at your existing approach to learning and work out strategies to get you where you need to be.
