I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance.

I am currently completing a PhD in Economics at NTU. As such I have deep subject knowledge and a profound understanding of mathematical and quantitative methods. I have studied and tutored A-level and undergraduate Mathematics and Economics in successful peer-mentoring programmes, utilising my skills to help struggling students attain their goals. I have always enjoyed the opportunity to teach and explain concepts to people and believe I am skilled at finding some relatable comparison to difficult concepts which help the recipient understand what is trying to be conveyed.
