I'm a languages student at university and have been studying French and Spanish since I was 12 year old. I love languages and this is reflected in my choice to study French and Spanish at University. With my knowledge of French, Spanish and my mother tongue English, I have been able to turn my passion for language learning into helping Students and I have been now teaching the above mentioned languages for over a year. I am currently a first year university student, studying PPE (politics, philosophy and economics) at the university of York. I successfully achieved straight As and A*s (7,8,9s) at GCSE, which led me to pick history, biology and Spanish at A level. I am particularly unique when it comes to Spanish teaching as I am a native speaker, being half Spanish, and having spoken the language from as little as I can remember. I sat my GCSE’s and A levels at Mayfield school, a boarding school for girls in East Sussex. After my a levels, I had successfully gotten into my firm and my insurance choice universities ( the university of Nottingham an the university of York). Both universities being Russel group, I ended up deciding to attend the university of York, here I currently am a first year studying PPE (BA)(politics, philosophy an economics).

Hello there! Chilean girl living in Portugal. Teaching Spanish on GoStudent. It's not important how old are you, but the level of passion you have for learning this very useful language. I also understand that students do not want to be stuck on a live tutoring session, that's why I try to make my classes fun and simple, with a little bit of challenge in between. I've been teaching since I can possibly remember, and that's around 12 years now! It makes the perfect balance for my Business job.

Primary: Maths, English, French, Spanish GCSE: Maths, English, French, Spanish Exam board Experience: 13+, AQA, IGCSE, Edexcel Languages spoken: French (Native), English (Native), Spanish (Fluent) Preferred student age group: Primary/Middle school/GCSE About me: Hi there! I'm Thibaud, originally from France but I grew up in London. I've moved around lots in my twenties and I'm currently studying a Masters in Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education at Edinburgh University. I'm passionate about education, but not just in the traditional sense. I want to give you, the student, the opportunity to learn in the way that's most comfortable for you. Love sports? Let's create a lesson using your favourite one. Are you more into music? That's great too, we can sing or play what we learn. My aim is for the lesson to be as fun as it is educational. A bit about my hobbies: I love sports, especially when I can be outside. I'm also learning to play the guitar and love to travel - I just spent my summer in Portugal, where I enjoyed living by the Ocean. Finally, I'm always looking for ways to live more ecologically, including in education. If that's something you'd be interested in, then I'd be delighted to explore how we create environmental lessons. I can't wait to go meet you and to go on the learning journey together. See you soon! I have an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Economics from the University of Exeter, which included a year studying abroad in Mexico. As part of my Masters Degree, I led school field trips to outdoor education trips on the Water of Leith, Edinburgh. I also have a 150 hour TEFL certificate.

Hi, I’m Lily and I’m a 19 year old student at the University of Leeds currently on my second year of completing the joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations. I have a passion for tutoring and I have been doing it for years in multiple different secondary schools, so I know how to engage with students and adapt my teaching methods to the particular student to ensure they can achieve the highest grade possible in a fun and relaxed setting. I teach biology, law and Spanish after studying them at both GCSE and A-level, so I would say I have expert knowledge in these areas to students who are keen to learn of all ages. We can have fun whilst we learn as I truly believe you learn the most and remember the most when you are enjoying what you are doing. Outside of studying and tutoring I love to play instruments like the guitar and the piano, and I also kick-box and dance. I love to keep myself busy and to help elevate others to be the best versions of themselves which is why I love to tutor and next year I will be teaching English in Spain. GCSES: Maths-8 English Literature-9 English Language-9 Physics-9 Chemistry-9 Biology-9 History-9 Music-8 Spanish-9 A-Levels: Law-A Spanish-B Biology-B EPQ-A I am currently doing a joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations at the University of Leeds.

My daughters confidence was somewhat lost after her maths exam, so I asked for a lady maths teacher who would not only bring her up to speed to pass her re-sit but help to build her confidence again... And GoStudent did this wonderfully...

Spanish tutoring to improve grades and self-confidence
After Chinese, Spanish is the second-most spoken native language on the planet, and is the official language of 21 countries around the world. It’s also one of the six official languages of the United Nations.
Learning Spanish can give your child an advantage as they enter what is sure to be a competitive global job market in the future.
Learning a new language can be intimidating, but having a Spanish tutor is a great way to boost confidence and make learning enjoyable. The tutor can go over anything your child didn’t understand in class and help them get ahead in their schoolwork, as well as establish study goals to track progress.
Your child can also practice their skills by having conversations, with the tutor able to correct any mistakes they may make as they go along.
The advantages of studying Spanish
Speaking Spanish means you can interact with the more than 500 million people all over the world who have Spanish as their native language, as well as the 450 million people who speak it as a foreign language. It’s also considered easier to learn than many other languages, such as French or Russian.
Jobs related to speaking Spanish include:
Another reason to study Spanish is that it has a long and rich history. Learning Spanish allows your child to study the works of Miguel de Cervantes, important texts written during the Enlightenment and Romantic periods of literature and even great Hispanic music.
At GoStudent, our Spanish tutors have a lot of experience teaching at primary school level. They will work with your child on speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The objective of our primary tutoring programme is to make Spanish fun and foster a lifelong love for the language. Our Spanish tutors work towards academic objectives through interactive games, songs and multimedia tools. They can also include Spanish and Hispanic culture and geography to strengthen learning.
Spanish exam preparation and Spanish revision classes
At GoStudent, we will match your child to a tutor who knows the curriculum well, whether for a GCSE, an A level in England or Wales, a Leaving Cert in Northern Ireland or Ireland or the National 3,4,5 Higher or Advanced Higher in Scotland.
The Spanish tutor can work with your child to determine which aspects of speaking, reading, and writing require the most attention, and devise a strategy to help them improve their skills. They can also help your child prepare for the final exam, reducing any stress so they can perform to the best of their ability.
Is private Spanish tuition affordable?
Your child can get Spanish tuition for as low as £21.99 per session. The price of each private tuition session depends on how regularly and for how long your child takes tuition with us. Book a free trial session with us and you can find out how affordable private tuition with GoStudent can be for you.
As well as Spanish, does GoStudent offer private tuition in other subjects?
GoStudent can help give your child support with private Spanish tuition as well as offering tuition for 40+ subjects. Select from a range of subjects including English, German, Chemistry. Your child isn't tied into one subject with GoStudent. Maybe your child needs support with Spanish now but as their needs change we can also offer tuition across different subjects.
How can your child benefit from private Spanish tuition?
The main reason that parents often start to look for a Spanish tutor is to improve their child’s academic performance. It’s needless to say that tutoring will prepare your child for important Spanish exams and tests and address specific problem areas that they might have in a particular subject. Your child’s grades and understanding of Spanish will improve when working with a tutor, but there are other benefits you might consider when deciding whether to opt for private Spanish tutoring. Tutoring encourages self-directed learning. This means that your child will learn to take the initiative in their schoolwork with the result that they will feel less overwhelmed or frustrated with school and more in control of their own learning. They will also learn study skills that will help them in life when it comes to university and beyond. Whether it’s learning to overcome obstacles in their studies, losing the fear of asking questions or even working on their social skills.
