Here, I developed key skills which proved extremely useful for their progress e.g., altering my communication to their level of understanding while giving relatable and fun examples, ensuring that the students are actively engaged by asking continuous questions to assess their understanding, and each new lesson I conducted with each student was started with a quick recap of the previous lesson. I noticed that these small steps proved extremely useful in the long run for the child's academic progress. Preferred age group: GCSE (However I can also teach A-level and Primary School children) A bit about myself: I am charismatic and enthusiastic Barts and the London School of Medicine student, with a willingness to learn and grow in any field despite the challenges that may be presented. I consider myself well-rounded, excelling in both academics as well as sport e.g., Football (My favourite!) and have passion for social interaction. Through exposure to tough situations as well as reading books on the topics I have honed my emotional intelligence and communication skills which I have since applied to provide help in various avenues such as education. I've had leadership roles such as Headboy of the school and thus have developed strong rapports with students who look at me as a role-model as well as their parents, especially during information evenings where I had conversations on how "parents could best support their children". As a fluent English and Italian speaker, I've acted as a bridge and advocate for foreign students to make them feel integrated in the community. This has also proved useful when teaching students who's first language isn't English as my fluency in another language allowed my to better understand the students I've worked with. I am a published author who is passionate about writing short stories as means of expressing issues that many children are faced with. One such issue is bullying and I have published a book titled Scars the Bullies and The Bullied which aims to inspire readers to take action against bullying. I will work alongside my students, supporting them along each step of the way so that in the end, they can excel; not solely academically but also in life. Hi I’m Helen a student studying a Masters degree in Pharmacy at the University of Kent. I tutor Maths GCSE - up to year 10 Biology, chemistry and Geography - A-level, GCSE and KS3 Combined science and physics: up to year 10 I like painting and listening to music, I also enjoy singing and going out with friends. I tutor Biology, chemistry and geography for primary, GCSE and A-level students. I studied Geography, Biology and chemistry A-level where I achieved an A*,A*,A. I took 9 GCSE’s, these included Maths, double science and geography, where I achieved a: 9-9 in double since and an 8 in maths and 9 in geography.
