Hi, I'm Cilla and I'm a final year medical student studying at the University of Leicester. I pride myself for having an understanding and empathetic student-focused approach to teaching. As a student, I know how terrifying exams can be. I hope with my help, my students can learn to tackle exam questions in a calm, collected manner. Academic achievements: At A-level I achieved all A’s in AQA Biology, AQA Chemistry and AQA Maths with an A* in an EPQ. At GCSE I achieved 11 GCSEs all 9-7, with all 8/9 in AQA Maths, AQA Chemistry and AQA Biology. I have experience taking the 11+ myself having gone to a grammar school for both secondary school and sixth form. What I can teach: Primary Maths and Science and 11+ tutoring GCSE: Biology, Chemistry, Maths (*most familiar with AQA but willing to teach any exam board)

Hi, my name is Luke McNab. I'm from Wolverhampton but have recently finished a Mathematics degree from the University of Bath. When I've not got my head in books I like to do kickboxing, play some basketball and also play some field hockey now and then. However, that doesn't mean that I don't like to get on the PS4 and play some Fifa when I have some free time. Another hobby of mine is listening to music. My favourite artists right now are Big Sean, Dave and Jay-Z. I already have experience tutoring GCSE Maths but am looking forward to teaching Maths at Primary or GCSE levels.

Subjects I teach: GCSE: Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-level: Mathematics and Further Mathematics Higher level: Mathematics and Further Mathematics Most familiar exam board: Any Languages: English - Native speaker Preferred student age group: GCSE and A-level students (15-18) About me: Hello! I am a recent graduate from Brighouse, West Yorkshire, with a first class Master's degree in Mathematics (MMath) from the University of Nottingham. I had a great deal of success at degree level - having won academic prizes in all four years and conducted my own research on carbon fibre preforms. I also spent time using statistical techniques to conduct impact analysis at the University of Bath, where I was a PhD research student. In terms of tutoring, I have taught Further Maths A-level to a group of first year undergraduates and Further Maths GCSE to year 11 students. On top of this, I’ve had a number of online and face-to-face students, across a range of qualifications and exam boards. I love watching the lightbulb spark in my students and confidence blossom over time, allowing them to achieve their full potential. Finally, in my free time I enjoy going to the gym, running and doing puzzles. 1st class Master’s in Maths with Applied Mathematics, focussed on mathematical physics, scientific computation and statistics. During this time, I completed a summer research project on modelling the permeability of carbon fibre preforms and my dissertation on numerical methods for solving stochastic differential equations. I got full marks in my A-level Maths and Further Maths, and over the course of my A-level studies I spent time at the University of Cambridge and the University of Manchester. Finally, I was a PhD research student at the University of Bath where I studied impact analysis as well as Bayesian Methods and Quantum Computing.

GCSE: Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (Triple and Combined Science) Exam board experience: AQA/ Edexcel/ OCR Experience with: KS2/ KS3/ KS4 Languages: English, Italian Exp with disabilities/special needs: none Preferred student age group: GCSE level About me: I'm a highly motivated third year biomedical engineering student, with 5 years of tutoring experience, teaching maths and science at both primary and GCSE level. As a tutor, I am able to customise my lessons to best support the needs of my students. I also taught in secondary schools as both cover teacher and teaching assistant, which allowed me to comprehend and adhere to lesson plans in order to support the classroom teacher and individual special needs students with day-to-day instruction and learning. Being trilingual (fluent in Bengali, Italian and English) languages have always been an integral part of my life, which gives me an advantage when communicating with my students. I am currently in my final year of studying Biomedical Engineering. I find maths and science fascinating subjects that encompass all aspects of our everyday life. During my A Levels, I studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Italian. My interests include music, art and languages. I have achieved a Grade 3 in violin, Grade 2 in piano and a Grade 1 in guitar. I am keen to continue with my tutoring experience as teaching has always been a great passion of mine.
