I have been teaching English online for over three-years now. This has included English as a foreign language and GCSE/ A level English literature and language. I graduated last year with a first-class degree in English literature and Language in Cardiff University and received a scholarship in my second year for being the best performing pupil in my cohort. English teaching has long been a passion of mine and my role has evolved to encompass academic writing support, something that I feel should be taught in school and is sought after by examiners across all exam boards. My students always achieve their goals through hard work, regular tutoring and lots of writing practice! I am currently a part-time Master's student of a TESOL and Education programme in Cardiff and my intention is to lecture this subject in the near future after my PHD. Alongside my own studying, I volunteer at an asylum-seeker charity 4 hours a week teaching adults basic skills such as digital literacy, English communication and life skills. I am also responsible for about 4 young learners who I have taught consistently over the last three-years. I’m a fully qualified Mathematics teacher with QTS and have thorough subject and exam knowledge. I have a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Sunderland University. I have a few years of teaching experience both at classroom level and 1-2-1 tutoring. I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students. I have a huge passion for teaching and find it most rewarding to see children progress and excel under my guidance. Hi! My name is Haleemah and I am currently an undergraduate studying Biomedical science at university. As someone who was once a student, reaching for help in areas which I struggled with in my subjects was always a challenge. Now I have the opportunity to support fellow students in a matter which would hopefully make them feel more confident in areas they find difficult or concepts they find hard to grasp. I teach primary maths, GCSE Mathematics and Sciences, and I also teach A-Level Biology and Chemistry. Since, I have already completed my GCSE's and A levels after 2017, my knowledge of the new curriculum is automatically up to date, and in addition to also doing a range of exam boards such as AQA, EDEXCEL, and OCR, my knowledge of exam boards and their method of examining is thorough as well. In my free time, I enjoy baking and cooking, even though sometimes my bakes may not turn out well, but I never give up! I want students to have a tutor who listens to them and puts in the hard work so that they can succeed. I hope you find that I am that tutor!
