I am an enthusiastic tutor, whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I can teach GCSE maths. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I look forward to guiding you into achieve the academic potential you and I know you are capable of. I achieved 5 grades 9’s and 5 grade 8’s at GCSE, this includes: - A 9 in Maths and Chemistry - An 8 in Biology and Physics. Hi there! I'm Annie, university student currently completing my final year of Primary Education with QTS, with a huge passion for teaching. I am particularly experienced in teaching maths and English to children aged 5-11, and have taught across both the north east and west of England, also teaching English to children aged 5-14 in both north and south Italy, with a high level of knowledge in this subject as I have achieved GCSEs in both maths and English across AQA and Edexcel exam boards and A's in both English language and literature at A level qualification. I love travelling, teaching and playing piano! I am committed to providing a fun, friendly and engaging learning experience for children, always bringing a positive 'can do' attitude to every lesson.

As someone who has been and still is a student, I understand the struggles that students face with learning. My aim is to help students tackle their learning challenges, unlock their potential, and put them on a path that fosters continual growth. I am particular about understanding the individual needs of my students by using effective communication and problem-solving skills to tailor my teaching to address these needs. I have a degree in Economics and Statistics and that sparked my interest in data analysis. I enjoy listening to soft rock music, going out to try new food, salsa dancing, going to the beach, watching animations, and conversing about superheroes. While I am happy to discuss tutoring around these interests, I am also open to discussing your interests.

Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.
