My name is Katy and I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Politics & Modern History. I have been living in Spain & France so am fluent in both languages whilst tutoring to a wide range of ages for the past few years. I am calm, interactive and experienced and enjoy working with students to help achieve their goals. I am TEFL certified, and have plenty of experience with all GCSE & A level examination boards. With regards to languages, I am able to support students in all aspects of exam preparation, from reading & writing to speaking & listening. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Modern History & Politics from the University of Manchester in 2021, where I specialised in Russian & Chinese history, as well as Modern African history, whilst including modules in advanced Spanish. I completed the International Baccalaureate where I studied a range of subjects including History, Spanish, French, English literature, Physics and Maths.

Hi! I'm Alfa. GCSE: Chemistry, Biology, Maths A-Level: Preferred student age group: upto GCSEs I enjoy watching medical documentaries, playing board games, meeting new people, travelling, trying different food, baking (sometimes), and I can speak 3 languages: English, Hindi and Konkani. Teaching is also what I enjoy. In the past, I had set up a revision group with a few of my friends, and helped them get their first A grade in the final GCSE exam! My lessons are very interactive, and I am open to any ideas to make them even better. To succeed, I believe a strong foundation is the key, which is why I work on the basics first with my students, before moving to the harder concepts. Homeworks and revisiting topics will help retain the information. I can tutor English (Language, Literature, and/or Creative Writing) at any Key Stage (my speciality is GCSE but I'm happy to teach at lower years, or A-level too). I have ESL student experience and am trained in TEFL. I have experience and training in tutoring for retakes, GCSE retakes specifically. I studied Creative Writing in the English faculty of the University of Winchester at Undergraduate and then the University of Exeter at Postgraduate. I achieved the highest grade in both, and will soon be pursuing an English PhD. I have trained in TEFL and general English tutoring as well, as well as training specifically in tutoring English GCSE.
