About me

Hello, my name is Aasim. I am currently a 5th year medical student aspiring to one day become an orthopaedic surgeon. I went to secondary school and sixth form in London , after which I took a gap year and started Medicine at university afterwards. During my gap year I spent time working as an HCA at the Royal London Hospital as well as tutoring some of my family friends' children for chemistry and maths. I also spent a fair amount of time pursuing my own hobbies and interests such as drawing, reading and football which I try to play once a week with my friends. I like to incorporate visual aids in my lessons as I, myself, am a very visual learner. I also like to maintain a light-hearted environment when teaching my students, often employing humour during my lessons as I feel that it can ...

Having an inquisitive and inventive mind, I aim for a career in research (specifically, experimental physics). With a bubbly personality, I enjoy letting my curiosity lead me to new places and people every time I take a break from science. I have 3 years of experience with: exam preparation and primary school. I am a recent graduate from The University of Manchester, and I studied Physics (Programme Title: BSc (Hons) Physics). I was a Bronze Medal recipient in the National Physics Olympiad (Romania, 2017). My biggest strength in tutoring is tailoring a lesson according to the student's learning style, as I was trained to recognize and approach all the different types of intelligence.

James M.

Hello, I'm James and I'm a college student at UCD. I'm currently studying Economics and Finance which is a heavily maths-orientated degree. Growing up, I have always loved maths and it was my favourite subject at Junior Cert and Leaving Cert level. I obtained 10 A's in my Junior Cert, including an A in maths in addition to 7 H1's at Leaving Cert. I received a H1 in maths (100%) and in Applied Maths (99%). I have been tutoring secondary school students for the better part of a year and I absolutely love it. Like most people, I have also had difficulty with Maths and I would like to use my experience to help others any difficulties they may have. Having completed secondary school in 2021, I am very familiar with all aspects of the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate syllabi. I take a very relaxed approach to lessons with each grind tailored to the student's individual needs and requirements. I look forward to working with you!
