My name is Aurelia, but you can call me Lily. I am a Franco-Mauritian lawyer, practising international commercial and maritime law. I studied law in Paris and Swansea, and I am currently living in London. Teaching has always been a passion for me. I previously taught for several years to students all around the world (Japan, Brasil, France, UK, Taiwan, Egypt), from every level and at every age. I am a very positive and communicative tutor who always seeks to help my students reach their goals whether it is for school, business or travelling. Since 2015, I have worked as both a private tutor and a schoolteacher, teaching predominantly Spanish and English to students of all ages and abilities in person and online. At the age of three, I emigrated from my native Bulgaria to England, where I promptly learned English despite having no prior knowledge of the language. In secondary school, I began studying Spanish, taking to it immediately. Accordingly, I studied Spanish and English literature at GCSE, achieving grades A* and A respectively, and at A-level, achieving grades B and A* respectively. Later that year, I advanced my studies at the University of Reading, obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English literature in 2019. Since graduating, I’ve taught in excess of 1,000 hours of Spanish online to over 70 students, reaching the top of the Spanish tutor ranks on Tutor Hunt and receiving dozens of positive, predominantly five-star reviews from satisfied clients across the continent. Knowing from personal experience how challenging learning a foreign language or mastering the art of essay writing can be, I aim to facilitate the process for my students by tailoring my tuition to their individual needs and providing them with a wealth of resources to aid their learning. I tutor English Language, English Literature and Maths. I have been tutoring since I finished university and I really enjoy it. In between tutoring I write my own poetry and bake cakes to relax. I like making my lessons fun and enjoyable, focusing on what the pupils want to gain and adapt accordingly.
