Hi, my name’s Arandeep and I’m 20, I am a second year Economics BSc student at the University of Nottingham. I predominantly tutor Maths at GCSE and A-Level with 3 years of experience and have increased Maths GCSE grades for all student’s I tutored for the previous exam season. Maths is a massive passion of mine and I hope to make the student find their passion for maths and achieve the best possible grades. As Economics is what I currently study, I am more than familiar with the content at A-Level (having only completed my A-Levels 3 years ago) and I know of the essential skills and techniques required. I enjoy playing sports with avid interests in Football and Cricket, I play Sunday League Football as well as 5-a-side and played for my school and college Cricket team. As well as sports I enjoy listening to podcasts regarding finance and technology (fintech). I play PlayStation occasionally and go to the gym regularly as a way to stay on top of fitness. Based just outside Edinburgh, Scotland, I offer both in person and online sessions. I have 10 years of experience teaching primary in and around the Edinburgh area. My positions have included working as a mainstream class teacher, support for learning roles, and a peripatetic advisory role for children with additional support needs. Furthermore, I also have 20+ years experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language, and taught English Literature and English Language as part of the IB programme at Anatolia High School in Thessaloniki, Greece. Teaching has also seen me work abroad in Germany and Austria. Before embarking on my teaching career, I was self-employed as a personal trainer and sports psychologist. My two degrees in psychology, make me ideally placed to also tutor psychology. Students and their parents describe me as being fun, articulate and empathetic. Related to this, I have had great success in improving the confidence of learners, and as a result, igniting their enthusiasm for learning. Hi! I'm Lucia and I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester. I tutor GCSE and A level Maths. I have been a tutor for 3 years. Having recently completed my exams, I have up-to-date knowledge of current exam formats and a strong grasp of effective exam techniques, along with insights into what examiners prioritise. I am passionate about your education and believe in being life-long learners.
