Hi, my name is Sophia and I'm a 24 year old tutor, writer, and theatre maker. I run weekly writing workshops for young people between the ages of 12 and 16, and have experience working one-to-one with secondary school students with special educational needs as a learning mentor. I am passionate about providing teaching which supports, inspires, and builds confidence by responding to the individual needs of each student. As a writer, theatre maker and avid reader, I have a broad knowledge of fiction, poetry, and play texts. I love playing guitar, drawing and being outdoors. Levels & subjects I teach: - GCSE: English Literature & English Language - A-Level: English Literature Exam board experience: - I can provide support for students preparing for AQA and Edexcel examinations. Languages: - Native English speaker I am a graduate of the University of Exeter where I studied Drama BA and received first class honours. I was awarded the Christopher McCullough prize at the end of my final year for my collaborative and collegial work ethic. The award recognises a final year student who has made a difference to the department, University or wider community. Prior to university, I was a student at Varndean College in Brighton where I studied A-Level English Literature (A*), Drama (A), and Anthropology (A*).

I would like to pursue a career in education where I can support primary school pupils. I really enjoy working with young pupils and I want to support them as much as possible & help them develop important skills. Most importantly, I want pupils to have fun learning, & I will make the activities & resources engaging and enjoyable! I previously volunteered as an Academic Support Tutor where I assisted primary school pupils with their homework & revision. We helped improve their Maths and English skills which was very rewarding! In my free time I absolutely love baking & playing fun games! I also enjoy learning new languages.

Hi there, My name is V and I am currently a full-time science teacher at a secondary school along with being a part-time student at the University of Cambridge. I did my teacher training at the University of Cambridge and my Undergate degree at the University of Southampton in BSc Biomedical Sciences. I specialise mainly in Chemistry and Biology, due to the nature of my previous degree. I have tons of experience when it comes to working with young people due to NCS mentoring, Tutoring, and Teaching for the past 3 years. Apart from the academic side, I enjoy writing plays, acting, dancing, and playing sports such as Kabbadi and Kho (Indian sports).
