Alongside this, I have experience teaching AQA and Edexcel math to both GCSE and A-Level students. I have also successfully tutored students taking the UCAT and BMAT and then preparing them for medical school interviews. Languages: I am fluent and comfortable in tutoring in both English and Urdu. Preferred student age group: I have prior experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level students so am comfortable teaching students in secondary school through to sixth form/college. About me: Having moved from Pakistan to the UK at a very young age, I was fortunate enough to stay and study here. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels and did very well in both. I am now in a gap year but hold an unconditional offer to study medicine at Leicester Medical School, beginning September 2024. Away from my studies I love travelling and experiencing new cultures, and have been fortunate enough to travel to several countries in the last year alone. Through this, I have learnt some of life's most important lessons and have grown as a person which has allowed me to reflect and understand exactly who I want to be. I am a firm believer that striking a good balance between work and our personal lives is vital to living a happy and fulfilling life. Hi, I’m Gene Mikael D. Gawat, a passionate and results-driven tutor with a strong background in math. I love breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable ideas to help students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. My teaching style is patient and adaptive, ensuring that every student gets the personalized support they need to succeed. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and I am a licensed Engineer My engineering education has given me a deep understanding of mathematical principles and their real-world applications, which I bring into my teaching. I also have experience tutoring high school and elementary students in math, tailoring lessons to different learning styles and academic levels. By combining my technical expertise with a passion for teaching, I aim to inspire students to not only excel in math but to enjoy the learning process along the way.

I am an English and Creative Writing student at University and I love to make art and do yoga in my spare time. My favourite subject to teach is poetry, but Shakespeare is also up there! I have a cat, and welcome you to show me your pets during lessons :) I attended Queens’ School, Bushey where I achieved high scores in my A Levels and GCSEs. I achieved above 6 in all GCSEs, including 9s in English Language and Literature. For A Levels I studied Psychology, English Literature and Biology, achieving A*AA. I am currently a student at the University of Warwick.
