Hi there, my name is Alisha! I am a third year Psychology placement student, aspiring to be a Clinical Neuropsychologist. My hobbies include: Netball, a good painting by numbers and cooking :) I have been challenging myself, cooking different cuisines around the world each week. Hello! I am Teacher Nest and I have over two years of experience in teaching English as a second language, I am committed to fostering a deep love for learning among my students. My teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of nurturing critical thinking and creativity, achieved through engaging, hands-on projects and collaborative activities. I prioritize creating an inclusive and welcoming classroom atmosphere, where each student feels valued and confident in their abilities. By employing a variety of teaching methods, I strive to address diverse learning styles and provide every student the tools to succeed. Beyond the classroom, I am an avid reader of Shakespeare and actively participate in a debate team, which enriches my lessons with real-world insights and connections. These interests help me inspire my students to think critically and express themselves with clarity and confidence. My ultimate goal as an educator is to empower my students to become lifelong learners, capable problem-solvers, and engaged global citizens.

I specialise in teaching years 5 and 6. I am a passionate and hardworking person. I have lots of experience teaching young students Mathematics and English and enjoy helping them do well in school and pass their 11+ exam! I went to a grammar school myself and achieved excellent GCSEs as well as A-levels, and I am currently studying Law at University. I want to be able to make that possible for others.
