Preferred student age group: Any About me: Hi! :) I am Bel and I am currently a research student. My areas of interest are mitochondrial genetics and proteomics, and I hope to complete my PhD. I have signed up as a tutor on GoStudent because I find working as a tutor to be both fulfilling and rewarding. I remember being a stressed GCSE/ A-Level student so it will be easy for me to relate to students currently at that stage. My method for GCSE/ A-Level tutoring involves using mini-tests and looking at past assessments completed by the student to identify areas of weakness, and this will enable us to develop a better understanding of those topics. During the sessions, we will also look through exam questions and examiner reports together to identify and practice the skills required to achieve the top grades. Most importantly, I will work on building the student's confidence in their subject through these tailored sessions so they can reach their full academic potential. As for primary school students, my aim is to encourage the students to learn through educational and fun sessions which incorporate their personal interests to keep them engaged. I am very passionate about maths and the sciences, and I hope I can pass that on to my tutees. My non-academic interests include: archery, painting and embroidery. Hi! I am Paul, a third-year Aeronautical Engineering student studying at Imperial College London. I am originally from Hong Kong but I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels in the UK. Having been immersed in both education systems, I am well-equipped to assist students in adapting to new environments. Hello! I'm Vince Hendrick Carangan, a dedicated Mathematics teacher with nine years of experience in fostering a love for math in students of all levels. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of helping students not only excel academically but also develop confidence in their mathematical abilities. One of my passions is training students for math competitions, where they can challenge themselves, apply what they've learned, and grow their skills in a competitive environment. Recently, two of my students achieved an incredible accomplishment by winning gold medals in an international math competition, a proud moment that reflects their dedication and our shared commitment to excellence. Witnessing their success has been a rewarding reminder of the impact that teaching and mentorship can have. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Mathematics to deepen my expertise and bring even more value to my students. This advanced study allows me to continually refine my teaching methods, enriching the learning experiences of every student I work with.
