Mathematics and Chemistry tutor up to GSCE level Hello, you can call me Teejaay! I have been tutoring for 10 years now and it's truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've helped so many students achieve their academic goals year after year. I specialize in the areas of Math and Science for elementary, high school and college students. I am well-versed in tutoring elementary school children and upwards, in any topic that is required; particularly common core Math and Science I have kept myself to a high standard as an educator and have always will expect the same from my students. I love working with students and encouraging the best work they can offer! As a teacher, I have been able to reach a myriad of ages within a diverse socio-economic group of students. Daily, I have been allowed to learn the best strategies and implement them in my teaching experience I had my first degree in Chemical Engineering in 2012 I did a post graduate diploma in Education I also have a Masters degree in Science Education I am a registered teacher I chose teaching as a profession because I love the impact one can have on individual children and touch lives. Of course it’s a great responsibility, but at the same time I cannot imagine devoting my life to something else, especially since I love being around learners–which is likely the second reason why I want to be a teacher. In my view, teaching is more a mission than a job really, especially in the uncertain times we live nowadays. I have been teaching all my life! I want to become a teacher because I believe to have the right skills, abilities, and attitude to become a good teacher. And I enjoy teaching, talking to learners, listening to them, trying to understand their emotional world, and be a good role model for them. At the end of the day, we should do a job in which we see some meaningful purpose. I know that I could earn twice as much working in some big corporation analyzing some data or sitting at a computer programming another mobile application, the billionth on the app store…. But I just don’t see a point in such type of work. Teaching is a completely different story- -you are impacting real lives!

I am Kathrine Joyce Hagunos. I have been teaching English for more than 8 years now. I have taught in a private school for 2 years and 6 years in a public school before I explored the world online teaching. I am a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines and hold a 120hr TESOL certificate. Presently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in Education with specialization in English Language Teaching. I am a graduate of Bachelor in Secondary Education major in English and a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines. I also hold a 120hr TESOL certificate. Presently, I am pursuing my master’s degree in Education with specialization in English Language Teaching.

About me: I am completing my Physics degree at the University of Manchester and used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions at school, which inspired me to pursue a career as a scientist. One of my hobbies is astronomy, especially stargazing and tracking meteors during meteor showers. Still, my true passion is to make knowledge accessible to as many people as possible and use science to make the world a slightly better place. Lower level: Mathematics, Science GCSE level: Mathematics, Physics A-level: Mathematics, Physics Higher level: Physics Programming languages: Python, C++, LaTeX SEN experience: I have worked with year 7&8 SEN students for a few weeks as part of my teaching internship, helping them with their Science lessons. Preferred age group: I don't have a preferred age group; I simply want to work with someone willing to put in the work and communicate openly about their struggles. Any additional languages: Bulgarian I am currently completing my Physics undergrad (preceded by a foundation year) at the University of Manchester. I graduated from one of the most elite high schools in my home country, which focused on Maths and Computer science. I used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions and olympiads, where I was one of the top-performing students. Before I studied Physics, I studied Architecture for two years at the same university - I wanted to try something different, since I love arts and see myself as a very creative person, but realised that science was my true passion and switched to Physics, where you find me now. I have worked several part-time jobs and completed several internships to support myself alongside my studies. These include an internship as a civil servant, part of the Government Operational Research Service, and the National Teaching Internship Programme, provided by the Department of Education. The teaching internship involved teaching GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics to students between years 7 and 12 in a few local schools and colleges. This experience helped me realise how much I enjoy teaching, fostering critical thinking skills in others, and guiding them towards discovering their passions. It also taught me how inclusive and expansive science can be and how crucial education is.

I like to make my lessons understanding, yet fun, so it doesn't feel like my student is back in school, but rather in a relaxed learning environment where they are free to make mistakes so they can learn better. I have various hobbies and interests, including reading, going to the gym, and watching sports, so I believe I have a variety of things I can relate to my students on, in order to build and maintain a rapport with them.
