About me

I am currently on a gap year following my A Levels, and am studying Physics at university next school year. I am currently looking to take on students for lessons over the summer and for the next academic year. At A Level I achieved 3 A*s in Physics, Mathematics, and History, and I also achieved a grade 9 in Physics at GCSE level. My sessions are tailored towards GCSE Physics students, and are aimed at improving exam performance while also improving the student's understanding of the subject beyond simply memorising equations. I understand that every student's goals are different, and my lessons reflect this - if one method of teaching is not proving effective for a student I am able to adapt my lessons to be structured in a way that resonates with them specifically. My lessons are appli...

I'm a 21-year-old tutor currently studying Psychology at the University of East Anglia. I teach Maths, English and Psychology and have 1 year of tuition experience. I have previously taught English and Maths to children between the ages of 3 and 17, helping children to successfully achieve their goals and surpass their expectations. I am currently studying Psychology at a degree level and also studied it for my A-Levels. In terms of my hobbies, love being creative, for example in my spare time I crochet, paint and draw. I also love quiz shows, such as the Chase and Tipping Point, as I think they're a fun way to learn. Horror films are my favourite genre of film, as I enjoy the adrenaline of being scared. I also enjoy rock climbing and have done so for 7 years. I also have cat called Lolly, whom I love dearly. I am a big animal person, so apologies if she appears on camera! I love teaching and aim to create an engaging and personal experience for my student. The lesson can be led by you, based on your interests and preferences, in order to work together to achieve success! I enjoy teaching in a visual and kinaesthetic way, using colours and diagrams to teach topics. However, whatever works best for you is what we will use. Together we will create lesson plans and tailor the experience to you and your needs. It will be a stress-free learning experience, with an emphasis on how fun learning can be. I am a third-year Mathematics and Physics student at The University of Manchester. During my school years, I have been looking for experiences that could develop me as a human being and this is how I came across tutoring. My first such opportunity tutoring them in the subjects they had difficulty with by explaining core concepts, which helped me develop patience and adaptability. Working with children was not without its hurdles, but I used all my abilities to stir their interest. What was truly rewarding were their smiles and the strong bond that we created. I cherished every single moment with the children, especially the instant they understood the exercises. My experience attests to my ability to tutor young people in the subject of Mathematics. I want to be a tutor because I feel that through this I can change things, starting with the young generation: I can help them discover a passion for Mathematics, I can cheer them up whenever they need help and I can be their friendly and trustful tutor when they do not know how to solve a problem. At the moment I am teaching GCSE students and I am familiar with most exam boards. My three-year experience helps me assess quickly the level of every student and this leads to a quick lesson plan for a successful exam.
