My name is Nita Bose. I was born in England, where I completed all my education. I am qualified with a B.Ed Honours Degree and hence my preferred age group is the primary years. I am an experienced primary school teacher and English tutor. I have a patient and nurturing approach to teaching, which puts children at ease so they can develop confidence and excel in their learning. I am an expert in teaching handwriting, and you will see the results just after a few lessons! I teach in a fun and engaging way so my students thoroughly enjoy their lessons. Having a clear British accent, I can also teach English as a second language to adults who wish to improve their spoken English, as well as their grammar and writing. My own love of learning led me to also study law and pursue a career as a solicitor for some years. Thereafter, I returned to teaching and I have been tutoring children and adults for several years. It is so rewarding to make a difference to people's lives. I enjoy yoga, cooking and travelling around the world. It's fascinating to learn about different cultures. I completed my Masters Degree in Management and following this I trained to be a teacher, teaching Business Studies and Economics to students aged 14-18 in state secondary schools before making the move to tutoring. I use a variety of methods when delivering lessons to students, such as the use of verbal questioning, written questions, modelling answers and knowledge checks. This helps students to develop their knowledge and put this knowledge into practice. I also carry out a detailed analysis of students needs and requirements in the trial session or first session to give me a good understanding of where the focus needs to be. I am also an examiner and this has given me a great insight into how exams are marked and a good understanding of what is required from students.

My name is Hayden, and I am a current student at the University of Lincoln, I am studying for a BA in Accounting and Finance. I am passionate about this subject as my 2 favourite subjects at GCSE and A-level were Maths and Economics and my course is a perfect combination of both. Problem solving is my favourite aspect of maths whereas Economics interests me as it applies problem solving to the economy and it affects everyone from governments to the consumer. My favourite hobby is travelling and experiencing different cultures. There is so much to learn and experience from visiting different countries and people. Travelling feels rewarding and expands your knowledge and appreciation. My tutor sessions will begin with a consolidating question from the previous weeks content to check that the student still understands the content. The main part of the lesson will be content and there will be integrated practice questions throughout. I will always end the lessons with a small quiz on the topic covered in the lesson. The results will determine next week’s lesson based on the students understanding. When tutoring students, I believe the most important thing is to have a creative and innovative approach to enable the students to understand and engage in the lesson. I achieved high GCSE's and A Levels in maths, and I am currently predicted a 1st class honours degree in Accounting and Finance. I have been tutoring for the past 2 years and really enjoy the rewarding feeling of helping students achieve their goals. I can help students build their confidence and knowledge in maths, and help them with revision and exam techniques. My aim is to make the lesson as beneficial as possible for the student and each students lesson is tailored to their preferences and abilities.
