As a tutor, I believe in creating a supportive and interactive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. I take a personalised approach to each student's learning needs, tailoring my teaching style to their unique strengths and weaknesses. Over the years, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including primary school students, high school students, and university undergraduates. I specialise in teaching algebra, calculus, and geometry, and I am always excited to take on new challenges. I am proud to say that my past students have achieved excellent results under my guidance, with many of them scoring top grades in their exams and developing a love for maths. Some of my most rewarding experiences as a tutor have been seeing my students grow in confidence and independence, and knowing that I played a part in their success. I completed my GCSEs with a strong academic performance, achieving an A* in Mathematics and A*-C grades across all other subjects, reflecting my well-rounded abilities. Building on this foundation, I pursued A-Levels, where I excelled in STEM subjects, securing an A in both Mathematics and Chemistry, and a B in Physics. These results showcase my analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in Maths and Sciences, positioning me well for further study or career opportunities in related fields. My name is Yan Lan and I am 19 years old. I am a student at the London School of Economics and Political Science, studying Financial Mathematics and Statistics. I have finished my first year and I am currently on a gap year. I have loved studying Mathematics since primary school and this interest in maths has made me want to study it further at university. I was born and raised in the UK but my ethnicity is Chinese. I have tutored many students before, since I was in Year 11 and love teaching and inspiring young students to also love Maths. I specialise particularly in GCSE maths (I did AQA exam board) and primary school students. I am currently doing a Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics and Statistics at LSE. During my time in 6th form, I have done A-levels in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Psychology and History. I have received A*A*A*A respectively in those subjects. I have two master's in physics and aerospace engineering from the University of Manchester. Native in Persian. I have plenty of experience in tutoring in Iran. I have extensive knowledge about physics and have the patience to teach physics. I would like to teach physics to 10 and 11 grades up to A level and GCSE. I am an airplane enthusiast and love to talk and explain about airplanes. BSc in solid-state Physics. MSc in Elementary Particles and Quantum Field Theory Physics. MSc in Aerospace engineering with distinction. My dissertation was about Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and have done lots of simulations about fluid's behavior in contact with surfaces like airplane wings.

I teach GCSE English Literature/language and A level English Literature. I'm 20 years old and study English Literature at the University of Durham. I’m in my second year of university and my favourite book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I have my bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh awards as well as my Chief Scout gold award. I have a set of GCSE’s in grades 6-9 (8 and 9 in English subjects), I studied English literature, geography and sociology at A level and achieved all A’s in these subjects. I am currently a second year student at the university of Durham. I spent a few months at my secondary school gaining work experience as a teaching assistant.
