My name is Charlie and i would love to help you feel more confident in your efforts to learn english to a higher level. I will tell you a brief story of why i am an english teacher. I am originally from England. I have lived in England all my life and was born there , i have also studied in 4 different schools and one college also. I have also been working secularly since i was 17 in a joiners shop making furniture. Since covid began and my boss retired i started working as a handyman and being my own boss. Then I met a girl from Spain called Sora, we began talking everyday. Now we are married and living in Tarragona in Spain. Here in Spain i have been teaching English conversation. Helping my students by giving them practice in speaking lessons and culture lessons too. I enjoy teaching and have been doing so on donation basis in order to help my students. These lessons that i have been conducting have sharpened my teaching methods. I look forward to helping all those who wish to practice and improve their English vocabulary, fluency and grammar with whatever else i can do to make those who wish to learn English feel more comfortable and confident. I look forward to our future learning experiences together. As i mentioned earlier i have studied in four different schools and one college in England. My grades were as follows ; English - C (Pass) Science - B (Merit) Art Graphics - C (Pass) WoodWork - C (Pass) Grades at College ; Diploma in Mathematics Functional Skills - Pass Diploma in Multi-Skills for the Construction Industry - Pass Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery - Pass I also very much enjoy learning instruments. I do not have any official grades yet it is a passion of mine and an important part of my life. I am One of Jehovahs Witnesses and for many years i have taught lessons to people of the public about the Bible voluntarily . I have been to a one week course in how to teach the Bible Effectively. I have also been on a two week course in learning Tagalog as for a short period in my life i and my family was contacting and teaching those from the Philippines in my hometown in England. As you can see my lives training has not been focused on English teaching. Yet now it is and consequently i am trying my best to be the best teacher i can be. I hope you can see the varied jobs and training i have received. Also my varied experience. One common thread through my life is i enjoy learning and sharing what i have learnt with others. Thanks for reading my Profile.

Alongside this I worked as a vaccinator for the NHS. I am a passionate sportsmen, specifically surfing, golfing and tennis. Studied at Oundle School from the age of 13 through to the end of A-levels, indulging in sports and the arts. I've used tutors throughout my time at school, to gain a deeper understanding of the subjects in which I was passionate. This gives me a strong basis to tutor and I know the varying current curriculums very well. Throughout my gap year I volunteered in a private wildlife reserve in Southern Namibia, where I learnt many skills and developed as a person. I hope to be able to help out in any way that I can!

I would describe my teaching style as engaging and adaptable I maintain an open stance towards feedback and novel ideas. I encourage my students to think beyond conventional boundaries, nurturing their unique style and thought paradigm. I strive to push them to present convincing and innovative points. However, I make lessons very practical; there is a science behind English and I can teach anybody how to improve because I know that. I am passionate about English because I believe it is an evergreen discipline. I love the theories and conversations that English illuminates and evokes in all its forms. Studying English language and literature was truly inspiring for me. My A level studies encompassed a multi-modal exploration, including speeches, plays, books, diaries, interviews, poems, comics, and blogs. This comprehensive exploration challenged me to grasp the nuanced aspects of communication, persuasion and emotion. Moreover, it granted me the opportunity to glean insights from numerous authors representing diverse cultural and historical backgrounds. Hence, I am a better communicator and empathetic person which shines through my teaching. Subjects Taught: English language and literature A level English language/literature Gcse Other comments: I love business and sports! I pursued my undergraduate studies at the University of Nottingham from September 2020 to July 2023, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Economics with International Economics. Prior to that, I completed my A-Levels at King Edward VI Five Ways School in Birmingham from August 2018 to July 2020, achieving outstanding grades of A*A*A in Mathematics, English Language and Literature and Economics respectively. My academic journey began at King Edward VI Aston Birmingham, where I completed my GCSEs from September 2016 to July 2018, earning notable results including 4 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 2 grade 7s, with grade 9 distinctions in English Language
