I'm 19 years old. I'm a student at University. Lower level : all subjects in primary school, English, Maths and Science. Secondary : Maths and Biology, Chemistry, physics GCSE : Foundation Maths (AQA, OCR, Edexcel ), Biology or Chemistry (Edexcel, double/combined) and Religious Education Preferred age group : Year1 to Year 10, In my spare time I play Badminton and do Dance. I like to do photography and make scrapbooks. I have been tutoring for 3 to 4 years with the ages of Year 1 to Year11.

Kia ora hey! My name is Haylie and I am a middle distance runner, master's student, actress and student support worker. I am studying an MSc in International Development part-time here at the University of Edinburgh while training and competing, as well as picking up casual hours teaching and supporting students. Moving to Edinburgh has been great fun, but I grew up in LA as a Kiwi-American. I lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for most of my adult life, where I also completed my bachelor's in Education with minors in Politics and TESOL. I absolutely love all things travel and adventure related, and I'm always keen for a chat about world politics, language, culture, running, football, travel, acting, and learning something new!

My tutoring experience began during my A-levels and has seamlessly continued alongside my undergraduate studies in Biology. I am a dedicated and passionate maths tutor who has experience for over 4 years in tutoring for SATS, GCSE and A-level students. I have an effective way of explaining key concepts clearly to student’s in an engaging and collaborative manner. My patience and experience allow me to adapt easily to the student’s needs. I tailor each lesson to the student’s specific needs who often have varying learning paces and styles. I am supportive, students are encouraged to ask questions, not only during lessons but throughout the week. Motivating students is essential and part of the learning journey by building their confidence and exploring their understanding. My main aim is to get students ready for exams through using my own structured techniques I used during my GCSEs and A-levels which helped me obtain grade A and A*. I currently have a mixture of students, with varying abilities between year 6 and year 11.
