I have 3 years of experience with: exam preparation and primary school. I am a recent graduate from The University of Manchester, and I studied Physics (Programme Title: BSc (Hons) Physics). I was a Bronze Medal recipient in the National Physics Olympiad (Romania, 2017). My biggest strength in tutoring is tailoring a lesson according to the student's learning style, as I was trained to recognize and approach all the different types of intelligence.

In addition to my degree, I have also completed a 120-hour TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate. After 20 years of secondary school classroom teaching in English and History, I am branching out into online teaching. I taught in London, at Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and have since taught in South Africa, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. I run Parkrun, grow and sell organic vegetables, and enjoy wilderness walking. After A Bachelor of Arts in History and English, at Wits University in Johannesburg in 1984, I did a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Education, in English and History. I then taught in London and South Africa for nine years, during which time I qualified with a Bachelor of Education in Applied Linguistics, from Wits University. In 1998, my family and I went to Vancouver, British Columbia, for me to study a Masters Degree in Theology. We returned to SA in 2002. In 2016, I graduated with a PhD in History, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I am currently enrolled for my TTA TEFL certificate, Level 5, to qualify and teach EFL, from April 2025.
