Hi there! My name is Kevin and I am an English and Irish teacher who recently moved to London to pursue an MA in Theatre Directing. I have been teaching several students both subjects over the past 2 years to great success. I have experience teaching English and Irish to all levels, History to GCSE standard and Performing Arts up to third level. I love seeing students find a passion for a subject they have written off as being too difficult or obscure. I am approachable, friendly and love the subjects I teach. I usually get students to teach the subjects to me to see if they truly understand what we have covered. I am also a big nerd with a love for all things fantasy, literature and animation! I have a 2.1 Masters in Education and currently on a 1.1 average on MA in Theatre Directing. I also have a BA in English and Irish with Performing Arts Studies. I also have a grade 8 RIAM qualification in Piano and am extremely passionate about music.

Since 2015, I have worked as both a private tutor and a schoolteacher, teaching predominantly Spanish and English to students of all ages and abilities in person and online. At the age of three, I emigrated from my native Bulgaria to England, where I promptly learned English despite having no prior knowledge of the language. In secondary school, I began studying Spanish, taking to it immediately. Accordingly, I studied Spanish and English literature at GCSE, achieving grades A* and A respectively, and at A-level, achieving grades B and A* respectively. Later that year, I advanced my studies at the University of Reading, obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English literature in 2019. Since graduating, I’ve taught in excess of 1,000 hours of Spanish online to over 70 students, reaching the top of the Spanish tutor ranks on Tutor Hunt and receiving dozens of positive, predominantly five-star reviews from satisfied clients across the continent. Knowing from personal experience how challenging learning a foreign language or mastering the art of essay writing can be, I aim to facilitate the process for my students by tailoring my tuition to their individual needs and providing them with a wealth of resources to aid their learning. Personable, passionate and productive, my mission is to help my students not only achieve but exceed their goals. My past experience is narrowly related to the law and tutoring, while my past, present and future free time experience is exclusively reserved for sports, travelling and of course, my best friend Brik (he is one amazing labrador with a strong human personality). Even though I am a lawyer, my true passion was and still is to teach and do sports (literally any sports, however basketball and football do have an advantage among others). I have been playing basketball for the last 20 years now, and yes, that is my first true love, while my second passion was and still is to teach people and pass the knowledge I have. As I am from the Mediterranean coast, after all, my passion for food cannot pass undetected. I am a food lover, I enjoy cooking, trying out new specialities, and creating something on my own. Furthermore, I do love long walks, nature and guess what, movies. My favourite movie is Night in a Museum, as it has everything I like, history, comedy and yes, museums. Lastly, I am quite a sociable person and I love meeting new people with a different story on daily basis. Hope to see you soon in class :) My academic experience is linked with the University of Montenegro, where I have gained an undergraduate and postgraduate diploma in law and Swansea University where I have obtained an LLM certificate for International Commercial and Maritime Law. During my university experience at Swansea University, I have worked as an International Student Ambassador where my main duty was to help foreign students regarding the language barrier and application process. My teaching method is adapted to beginners up to advanced students. I already taught students from all around the world, with different levels. I try to create a relaxing atmosphere where students would not be stressed about exams while ensuring to obtain the best grade. I believe that every student is unique and has their own needs. Therefore my method is tailored to each student to reach their full potential in the language they want to learn. My goal is for you to be happy about your communication skills, whether it is for travelling, school or business. Indeed, if you are looking to get better at speaking at work, my experience will definitely help you. In the past, I helped the businessman and lawyers to improve their speaking skills (presentation, meetings, etc). I teach the English language and literature for beginners, students or professionals. Furthermore, I am doing preparation for the IELTS test. I also teach French language A1, A2 level. Furthermore, as a native speaker, I can teach you Montenegrin, Serbian, Croatian or Bosnian language. Last but not least, as an experienced lawyer, I do offer a possibility to tutor law students from a civil or common law background. I can't wait to see you soon in class.
