Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm a medical student at the University of Sheffield. I studied biology, chemistry, physics and maths at A-level, whilst enjoying creative extracurricular activities. I love sharing my passion for my subject and I hope you can see this through my teaching! I achieved all grade A's in my A-Levels, and all grade 8's and 9's in my GCSEs. I also achieved my grade 8 in both violin and piano, as well as intermediate (level 3) in ballet and tap. Having completed work experience both online and in person I can work well in a professional environment, whilst still being engaging and approachable for my students. I developed these people skills through my working as a teaching assistant at my dance school for a group of young adults with various physical and learning disabilities.

I have always had a great love for physics and science since I was very young when I was amazed by watching the stars in the night sky. I understand that many students feel daunted or overwhelmed by STEM topics like physics and maths, but I hope that I can use my experience and enthusiasm for the subject to find some avenue through which the subject can be understood and hopefully enjoyed. I have always enjoyed the opportunity to teach and explain concepts to people and believe I am skilled at finding some relatable comparison to difficult concepts which help the recipient understand what is trying to be conveyed. I am also very skilled in exam technique, preparation and revision applying many different techniques to achieve the best outcome. This skill is essential for all students during their studies and one which I would help cultivate throughout my time tutoring. I am a Registered Psychometrician who has worked in an educational institution for several years. I also have four years of experience teaching English and I am TEFL-certified. During my first year of teaching, I became an assessor for young learners. I assess and evaluate their proficiency in the English language. Additionally, I was allowed to teach Business English to young professionals and businesspeople. I help them prepare for exams and presentations and enhance their professional communication. I also help boost their confidence in speaking. Teaching has always been my passion. It allows me to share my knowledge and inspire my students to succeed. During my free time, I read novels and watch movies. I also love traveling and exploring other cultures and trying different cuisines. I majored in Psychology at the university and earned thirty-nine (39) academic units in my master's degree in Psychological Measurement at De La Salle University. I have always been interested in studying Psychology because it is fascinating. It helps us understand human behavior, thoughts and emotions. It is like uncovering the reason why people behave in a particular way, which can ;lead to better relationships and communication. I took the board exams to become a Registered Psychometrician in 2015. As a Psychometrician, I specialize in the development, administration and interpretation of psychological tests that measure a variety of attributes such as intelligence, personality and behavior. I play a crucial role in ensuring these tests are scientifically valid, reliable and unbiased. Furthermore, I love teaching the English language as well. Language is a vital tool for communication, and it is amazingly rewarding to help others develop that skill too.

I have just finished my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Exeter University. In my spare time I like to help younger pupils with their studies, spend my time at a gym class or go for a nice walk. I also love to read, especially horror books or play on my Nintendo switch. My favourite part of Mathematics is pure, such as Algebra, but I have also taken a Coding module and a Physics module at University. I did Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-level, achieving an A* in maths at A-level and a 9 at GCSE. I have just finished my degree in Mathematics at the University of Exeter with a first class mark. I have over 300 hours of experience with tutoring maths to a range of ages from 4-21 both online and in person.
