I am currently completing a PhD in Economics at NTU. As such I have deep subject knowledge and a profound understanding of mathematical and quantitative methods. I have studied and tutored A-level and undergraduate Mathematics and Economics in successful peer-mentoring programmes, utilising my skills to help struggling students attain their goals. Alongside my studies, I also deliver lectures and seminars to undergraduate students and supervise undergraduates and masters students. Further to this, I have also worked with students with learning difficulties to improve their basic mathematics. I am personable in my teaching and so I employ patience and discussion to ensure a thorough and comprehensive understanding of subject content. I am able to recognise when a concept is not understood...

This tutor didn't even explain at the start of the lesson what we were going to do and go through and explain what the lesson was going to comprise of! Very unhappy and the worst start possible!

Hello! My name is Hanfa, I'm an undergraduate student in mechanical engineering at the University of Manchester. I enjoy anything practical and in reference to logic and problem solving, and for that reason, maths and physics have always been my subjects! I enjoy anything that requires precision, more specifically knitting, henna, and drawing. You soon learn Biology also requires imagination as well as English, it's necessary to envision processes well in order to write an account on them, and my talent in imaginative writing is indeed a helping hand! And always remember: Take pride in tuition, as you'd take pride in success I studied at an all girls Grammar school for 5 years where I completed my GCSEs. I next excelled on to Loreto College, where I took Biology Maths and Physics for A-levels, I am now studying Mechanical Engineering at the prestige University of Manchester!

Every session is an opportunity for collaborative exploration and active participation. My academic journey, augmented by my roles in proof-reading journal articles, MSc and PhD theses, has fortified my grasp on complex scientific concepts. This knowledge equips me to not only elucidate complex theories but also highlight their practical applications. My journey in education extends beyond my own studies. I've had the privilege of instructing undergraduates and mentoring junior researchers. This experience has honed my ability to tailor teaching techniques to diverse learning styles, fostering an environment where questions are encouraged, and curiosity is celebrated. My goal is to help students grasp a better understanding of the subjects that they are studying at GCSE/A-level and primary school studies, helping them reach their academic goals, either through practising formal exams or to improve their academic skills. Together, we will plan out a suitable approach and timeline to achieve these goals. It is immensely satisfying for me to be able to incorporate my passion and knowledge for science into teaching experience. With a solid educational background including a Bachelor's, MSc, and PhD in Biology, my expertise spans a wide array of biological disciplines. For higher education, my specialisation lies in biomedical science, reproductive and developmental biology, and translational medicine.
