I remember being a stressed GCSE/ A-Level student so it will be easy for me to relate to students currently at that stage. My method for GCSE/ A-Level tutoring involves using mini-tests and looking at past assessments completed by the student to identify areas of weakness, and this will enable us to develop a better understanding of those topics. During the sessions, we will also look through exam questions and examiner reports together to identify and practice the skills required to achieve the top grades. Most importantly, I will work on building the student's confidence in their subject through these tailored sessions so they can reach their full academic potential. As for primary school students, my aim is to encourage the students to learn through educational and fun sessions which incorporate their personal interests to keep them engaged. I am very passionate about maths and the sciences, and I hope I can pass that on to my tutees. My non-academic interests include: archery, painting and embroidery. I have just completed my MSc in Big Data and Financial Analysis, having received a distinction. Before this I studied Human Geography at Swansea University, and became the treasurer for the society! I chose both these courses as I like to know why the world functions as it does, and what better way to understand this than the political, economic and social geographies; as well as the business/finance world! In my spare time I enjoy running, football and rugby; I also love to ski! Hi there! I'm Emily and I'm from the UK. Lessons with me as your tutor will be interactive and dynamic. Whichever the subject is, I will be ensuring that I cater the content of my lessons to your individual needs. During the lessons, we will be utilising a variety of learning techniques, such as discussions, quizzes and PowerPoint lectures. Alongside my academic studies, I have always worked hard to support myself. These roles have predominantly been working with children in the psychological field but also online tutoring.
