I began my academic journey at Claremont High School Academy Trust, where I excelled in my GCSEs, achieving grades between 9 and 6 across all subjects. Building on this strong foundation, I pursued A-Levels in History, Tamil, Psychology, and Religious Studies, securing impressive grades of AABB. My passion for law led me to the University of Kent, where I earned a First-Class Law LLB (Hons) degree. I am currently awaiting the results of my LLM LPC from BPP University, having successfully completed my exams. In addition to my academic achievements, I am also pursuing a diploma in Mridangam, holding a Grade 7. My education has been further enriched by practical legal experience gained through various internships and volunteer roles, providing me with valuable real-world insights. After 20 years of secondary school classroom teaching in English and History, I am branching out into online teaching. I taught in London, at Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and have since taught in South Africa, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. I run Parkrun, grow and sell organic vegetables, and enjoy wilderness walking. After A Bachelor of Arts in History and English, at Wits University in Johannesburg in 1984, I did a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Education, in English and History. I then taught in London and South Africa for nine years, during which time I qualified with a Bachelor of Education in Applied Linguistics, from Wits University. In 1998, my family and I went to Vancouver, British Columbia, for me to study a Masters Degree in Theology. We returned to SA in 2002. In 2016, I graduated with a PhD in History, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I am currently enrolled for my TTA TEFL certificate, Level 5, to qualify and teach EFL, from April 2025.
