Hi! I'm Sarah and I am passionate about teaching and education! The subject areas I tutor at Lower Level, GCSE and A-Level are English (Literature or Language) and History, with specialisms in Shakespeare and Mid 19th - Mid 20th Century literature, and England: 1066-1216. I have 4 years of teaching and childcare experience in a range of settings from nursery to school. In these roles, I have had specific Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) experience and training, including 2 years of 1:1 teaching with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia. I am currently in my final year of my BA Education Studies Degree, studying at the University of Reading. I am happy working with all age groups, with no preference as to age or level of ability. I have a passion for musical theatre and the performing arts, having performed in many shows through school and university! I love reading and music, and have an eclectic taste for both - so I'd love to swap suggestions! Coming from a family of 7 children, a single mum, a low socio-economic background, and a secondary school that was in special measures, I know how tough exams and school can be; With so much pressure, feeling held back from reaching your full potential and feeling as though you're doing it alone, exams and grades can feel impossible! So, I can't wait to share all the tips, tricks, and knowledge I have to help students feel prepared, confident and happy, no matter their needs or background! I'm a 4th year medical student at Newcastle University, but I'm originally from Cumbria. I really enjoy the sciences particularly anything related to the human body, hence why I want to be a Doctor. In my spare time I'm an avid swimmer in both the pool and in the lake, and also enjoy reading and playing the Saxophone.

Preferred student age group: GCSE + A-level About me: I am an undergraduate medical student, studying towards a Master's degree, at university in Ukraine. I am a polyglot, I used to play table-tennis in the National Junior League (until lockdown) but I still train, I played squash at a district level (before lockdown) but I play squash and badminton as hobbies, now. I have also been a COVID-19 vaccinator for 6 months, now.
