Hello! My name is Abbie. I am currently studying Musical Theatre at university in London. I began tutoring in 2020 and I particularly love teaching English. I like to tailor my tutoring approach to suit the student I am working with, so really like to get to know and get talking with my students so we can work together to cater for their preferences.

Hi, my name is Charlotte and I am a final year university student, currently studying international business and economics at Aston University. I have completed a study abroad year in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. During my free time, I enjoy going on hikes and visiting museums.

I'm a friendly and enthusiastic teacher of Spanish who loves teaching, learning and studying. I'm a teacher of English and Spanish. I've studied to teach both languages. I really enjoy teaching Spanish and showing my culture to all those who want to learn. I've been teaching for 23 years and I've been tutoring online for 5 years. So, I'm patient and enthusiastic. When I teach, I cater for communication and I try to develop the intercultural competence in all my students. I'm a M.A. in Contemporary Literature written in English. I wrote my thesis on the novel The Whale Rider by Witi Ihimaera. I love tea. In fact I'm a tea sommelier (I have a certificate) and I enjoy tasting different teas and blends. I'm fond of nature and outdoor activities. I'm interestered in literature and films, especially in The Hunger Games and Star Wars (my kids names start with LS like Luke and Leia Skywalker). Lower level: English as a second language and Spanish GSCE: Spanish A levels: Spanish Higher level: Spanish Languages: Spanish native speaker and teacher. English (I'm a graduated EFL teacher and MA in Contemporary Literature written in English and Fulbrighter) Preferred student age  group: Children (ages 8 onwards), teenagers and adults who want to learn to communicate in Spanish and work on their language proficiency. I offer a theme-based approach with communicative tasks and focus on language functions. I work with the 4 macro-skills and I adjust the content to the students' ages. Everything we do is applied to the students' own life, personal environment and context.

I pride myself on my ability to help students attain the grades they want – even on topics they don’t especially like! Whether it is Language or Literature, I’ve managed to produce amazing results, even after only a few weeks of tutoring. . I have a proven ability to engage and motivate young learners from a diversity of backgrounds, age groups and abilities and remain passionately committed to raising student outcomes. I am very flexible with my teaching style and will go above and beyond for the academic development of each student. I am well versed with their mark scheme and awarding criteria. I provide a world class experience of learning, that suits the needs of each individual learner. I have a proven track record of significantly improving students' grades and I believe this is because my students genuinely enjoy being in my classes. Once the topic is consolidated, the second part of the session consists of past paper question practise. We work together through topical exam questions to prepare the student for the layout and standard of question they will receive in their exam. In my opinion, question practise is vital for success in english exams and is a key form of revision. If a student can confidently work through past paper questions on the topic covered, we can both feel confident they will succeed in their exams
