Tutoring is my life’s passion, and I have been instructing students for more than 8 years. My years of experience as a tutor have helped me form a teaching philosophy that guides how I help my students succeed. In fact, I truly believe that their success begins with making them feel comfortable, welcomed, and understood. Kia ora hey! My name is Haylie and I am a middle distance runner, master's student, actress and student support worker. I am studying an MSc in International Development part-time here at the University of Edinburgh while training and competing, as well as picking up casual hours teaching and supporting students. Moving to Edinburgh has been great fun, but I grew up in LA as a Kiwi-American. I lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for most of my adult life, where I also completed my bachelor's in Education with minors in Politics and TESOL. I absolutely love all things travel and adventure related, and I'm always keen for a chat about world politics, language, culture, running, football, travel, acting, and learning something new!

I am a first year optometry student at the University of Manchester. Having recently completed college, my knowledge is current with the academic syllabus, and I am looking forward to assisting students in enhancing their academic achievements by teaching them using various methods and tricks. I have experience assisting children in schools who require support, and I consistently adapt my approach to meet their individual needs, striving to provide the best assistance possible. I have obtained grades 7 to 9 in nine GCSE subjects, including English and Mathematics, and have demonstrated strong academic performance in A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology. In 2023, I earned the Silver Olympiad in Chemistry, which reflects my depth of knowledge in the subject.

Hello, I’m Tom! I have just completed the International Baccalaureate at a United World College. While at the college, I tutored local students and current students in Maths and Geography.
